Used my cap 1 quicksilver card 4 times after I enrolled in this promotion but transaction list is empty in SP. Is this a SP or cap1 problem? Irritating.

Got this in mail today, but I guess I need a Samsung phone?
Shame, would have been an easy $10

I received an email on 7/20. I have a Cap one card from 15 years ago that earns no rewards so it sees virtually no activity. Downloaded the cap one app per step 1 in the email. Added the card to Samsung pay per step 2. Completed the 3 transactions, gift card added instantaneously with an email to confirm

It makes me install the Capital One Wallet app to verify my card. Seems like it’s really just a way of making me install their app. Also the app permissions require sharing my app usage and browsing history. No thanks

Just a heads up… I have this promo added to my samsung pay and then used my capital one 360 debit card to make the purchase, but it doesn’t trigger the offer… Maybe this card is excluded?

Yeah it has to be a credit card per the terms and conditions under eligibility
“(c) have a qualifying Capital One credit card . . .”

After making your purchase, if you view the promo again, click Continue, and it shows 3 dots, are any of the dots filled in?

The rules for the promo are unclear. They do say “credit card” as someone mentioned, but it also says “For a full list of Qualifying Cards, see …” and that list includes Capital One 360 and Capital One Debit. But I guess it could be interpreted as must be a credit card AND must be in that list.

SD has multiple data points of it not working for debit cards (while it did work for people using credit cards), so it seems pretty conclusive that it won’t work for debit cards.

I had my capital one card in my Samsung Pay account already, probably for a prior promo, but it didn’t list any transactions for the card, so maybe not. I deleted it out of my account as soon as I read this post, then restarted my phone about 2 hours later. Then about 30 minutes after the restart, the promo showed up. I have notifications turned on, so it notified me. Unknown if I actually had to delete the card for the promo to show up, but that’s what worked for me.

Thanks I was just about to try your suggestion but I decided to double check and now the offer shows for me. I just added it. Must take awhile for it to roll out to all of the accounts. Anyway easy $10 for me because I use my Capital One card all the time 🙂
