IMPORTANT CHANGE: Yotta Ball now goes 1 to 63 instead of 1 to 25. Since the yotta ball is very important in how much you actually end up winning, this is a really important change to note since it will likely result in a 50% or more cut in winnings.

From the email source:

YottaBall is now between 1 and 63.
Due to changes in the economy that have lowered interest rates on savings accounts, the YottaBall will be between 1 and 63 starting next week. This change allows us to maintain the sizes of our prizes, while also maintaining our position as one of the highest value savings accounts on the market.

The email also notes that the second biggest prize is now a model 3 tesla.

I checked with both Yotta and its bank. Here is the response.
You are receiving this letter because you have reached out with inquiries related to accounts held with Yotta Technologies Inc. (“Yotta”) and have contacted Evolve Bank & Trust, Member FDIC, (the “Bank”) regarding Federal Deposit Insurance Coverage (“FDIC”).
Yotta has opened a custodial account for the benefit of its users at the Bank, in which Yotta holds funds deposited by its users in subaccounts. Yotta has an agreement in place with Synapse Financial Technologies, Inc. (“Synapse”), under which Synapse, as an agent of the Bank, enables Yottas’s users, to open subaccounts to be used in connection with Yottas’s services.
This letter is being provided to you by Synapse as an agent of the Bank to clarify that the funds in these accounts are eligible for FDIC pass-through insurance. You can find more information about FDIC pass-through insurance on Yotta’s website as well, https://www.withyotta.com/.

When I actually checked to see if my money was FDIC insured no one could say yes it is. You might want to ask about that if you are interested. They emailed me that said we have the money with x bank, when I contacted x bank they said we do have a relationship with Yotta, but when I asked if my money was FDIC insured they said to contact Yotta. It was a big run around just to find out if the money is insured, it would be impossible to pin down anyone if you needed to exercise the insurance. Just an FYI.

Been using the account for a few months. The prized used to average more than 3%. Has dropped to around 1.8% – as they reduced some prizes. But still really good for a savings account.

When do the 100 bonus tickets apply for new sign-ups? I used a referral code to sign up though the 100 bonus tickets never posted.

For me it was on the following Monday I think. So the 2nd week after you make your initial deposit. It’s possible they wait until the first Monday after your initial deposit clears so in that case it could make be the 3rd week.

100 bonus tickets would be applied for the immediate next week starting Monday to maximize the value of the tickets.

You would get the tickets even if your deposit has not cleared yet.
