Our Verdict
These shop-with-points offers on Amazon come and go. Typically, you can buy anything sold by Amazon themselves, including third-party gift cards sold on Amazon, but not Amazon’s own gift cards.
I couldn’t get this one to work for me; reportedly, this will only work once per Amazon account and I’ve probably done it once already. The offer may also be targeted and  won’t work for everyone. It’s getting a lot of thumbs-ups on Slickdeals so it’s apparently working for many people. Try it out and let us know!

I’ll have to give this a shot tomorrow. If it’s like the similar promotion they had a year or so ago with Amex MR you can use a little as 1 point to trigger the credit. I know I was able to use only 1 MR point to trigger the $20 credit from that promotion.
Somewhat ironically, using only 1 point is the only way to get a full cent worth of value from paying with points on Amazon.
Worked for me with my Citi Forward card. I tried to purchase an item from Amazon Warehouse unsuccessfully. Purchasing the same item direct from Amazon worked like a champ. Thanks for the heads up!

Ditto, no luck. Done one or more of these before–Discover and Amex maybe? Never linked this card to Amex before though, or any other TY card. No worries.

Code didn’t work for me, even after I linked my Citi TY (for the first time ever). No worries, just thought I’d pass along a YMMV datapoint.
Same. I linked Prestige card, made sure item was sold by Amazon directly, selected to use 5 TYP and pay the rest of the balance on card. Promo code still didn’t work.
