Receive 4x fuel points on the purchase of gift cards at Kroger and the other stores in that chain until 10/3/15.

Typically, Kroger offers 2x fuel points on gift card purchases and they’ll occasionally release offers like this one to get 4x fuel points. The standard terms are that all gift cards will earn 4x points with the exception of Kroger gift cards and with the exception of Visa/Mastercard/Amex variable-load gift cards.

Coupon can be used an unlimited amount of times (it’s possible it will have to be reloaded between each purchase)

Our Verdict

Usually every 1000 points gets you a discount of $1 per gallon with 35-gallon limit, for a total value of up to $35 per 1000-points. This does vary by store and region.

If you purchased a $250 gift card you’d earn 1,000 points which would save you $35 on a 35-gallon tank, or ~12% discount on the gift cards. You’d also earn credit card rewards and Kroger should code as a grocery store and plenty of credit cards offer a category bonus on those stores.

To maximize the deal even further, remember that you can get free cellphone service with Kroger when you earn fuel rewards points (you don’t need to redeem them for this, this is in addition to getting free/cheap gas).
