Our Verdict
The highest resale value of Lowe’s gift cards is with Saveya and they are offering 82% of face value. Lowe’s also sells a heap of 3rd party gift cards, Frequent Miler has a list of what they had in stock last time this promo came around. My plan is just to go in store and purchases gift cards I’d use anyway which will net me a 20% discount + whatever points I earn on the credit card. If you’re only making 3-4% profit then that’s only $1.5-$2 profit per $50 and won’t be worth the hassle for most people. That being said if you can find gift cards with high resell values then an easy profit can be made.

Our Verdict
This is basically a 20% discount on gas at Chevron/Texaco when purchasing $25 in gas. How good of an offer that is really depends on how much Chevron/Texaco charge for gas in your area.

I tried buying gift cards at Lowes tonight with Amex
Cashier said can only buy with debit card or cash no credit cards
Last time they had this promotion there were very few BP and Shell gc on the shelves. Has anyone had any luck with that?

I usually buy gas gift cards at Lowes and then resell them. Usually net around $5 per amex card.
The terms exclude corporate gift cards, design-your-own gift cards, and electronic gift cards. It does not mention other kinds of gift cards, unless I am missing something. If that is the case, it should not be a problem purchasing gift cards on the racks at Lowes.
Good catch, I just read gift cards and automatically assumed it was all gift cards. Updating post now.
