AmEx Offer: Spend $200 Or More At Hyatt Hotels & Receive $60 Back

The Offer

No direct link, offer not live yet. Will be live on the 10th of October

  • Use your American Express card enrolled in this offer to spend $200 or more at Hyatt hotels at a US property across all brands and receive $60 back.

The Fine Print

  • Valid until December 31st 2016

Our Verdict

Hopefully this is available on all cards with a Twitter hashtag, at this stage it’s not clear if that is the case or not (but I’m hopeful it will be). As mentioned, the actual promotion will not start until the 10th but I’m posting for two reasons:

  • I’m extremely confident this offer is coming
  • Some people may want to wait before booking stays to take advantage of this

Any follow-up? Hope this wasn’t a canary trap by Amex.

When do you think they will be releasing this offer today and where, on twitter?

Does the $200 have to be straight room rate, or can it work for rate + sales/occupancy taxes?

Damn…of course the offer won’t last until thru mid-March of next year. Booked 8 nights at Hyatt Recency Maui. Would be nice to save some money on daily parking, breakfast and resort fees that are sure to come 🙁

Are purchase of check certificates on Hyatt.com qualify this offer? I only have overseas Hyatt stays and those check certificates can be used overseas.

Do we know if this is US Hyatt only? In the past has it been US only?

I guess I am asking if non-US charges trigger the credit (despite what the terms say). Wondering if anyone has tried it!

Wonderful, right after I just stayed in 5 Hyatts in the past two weeks… I wonder if I can get one or multiple of them to refund and recharge me for my stay(s)? If I can add this to 5 cards and get my stays recharged it’ll save me $300.
