Gift Card Angle
Reddit member midtreblebass notes that you can purchase a $15 Hulu gift card and this is working to trigger the $10 offer credit. This is great news since that means you can lock in a 66% discount past the April 30 end date of the offer.
CAVEAT: You can’t apply gift cards to your account if you are subscribed via iTunes (or possibly any other 3rd party billing partners).
Our Verdict
This is free money for Hulu users, with the added hassle of having to constantly switch out their credit cards. Doing the gift card approach may be easier in a way, though slightly less profitable perhaps.
I’ll hazard a guess that any $10 charge through Hulu will work to trigger the offer, even if you don’t go to the particular webpage mentioned above.
