Two quick pieces of Best Western news:

- They are offering something called BW Status Match, No Catch. You can view what matches people have received on the awesome status matcher website. Thanks to Mile Nerd for pointing this one out.
Finally got the Best Western Black Friday instant game to work and got 1k points. Haven’t tried the status match yet.
After my disappointing score on the 11th, I tried again on the 18th. No points, but I got a tier upgrade, so I should be Diamond Select in a couple of days, giving me a bonus point bump from 30% to 50%.
I wonder if my tier upgrade will show up before the stays I had last week post.

No luck w/ the game; got status match HH Diamond to BW Diamond
I won a whopping 70 points.
Earlier this year I applied for the Best Western credit card which gives Platinum status. I used that to get Hilton to match and got Diamond. I then sent that back to Best Western, asking to match and they upgraded me to Diamond as well, so I think I gamed the system there. 🙂
Lol, that’s Hilton’s ‘fault’ that they matched you to HHonors Diamond from BW Plat at their discretion, so don’t feel bad for them 😛 Doesn’t really make much sense for them considering that HHonors Diamond is their 4th (and top) tier, whereas BW Plat is just the 3rd (and middle) tier.
And considering that HHonors Gold is already enough to match to BW Diamond…
Maybe you just got lucky with the Hilton rep though, or policies have changed? According to more recent DPs on StatusMatcher, Hilton might only give you HHonors Gold for your BW Diamond, and if they do give you Diamond, it might only be as part of a status challenge.
Created a BW account today in hopes of getting a status match. I played the game and apparently won a free night voucher.
Got upgraded to BW Diamond based on my Hilton Gold status. FYI.

Created a new BW account, and then the match from my HHonors Gold to BW Diamond took about an hour.
Finally, used the instant win game to win a tier upgrade, so we’ll see in 5-10 business days whether this promotion got me from nothing to top tier!
There are also a few DPs of Hilton matching BW Diamond (not even Diamond Select) to HHonors Diamond, so……(though there’s conflicting information about whether you get a full match until the end of the next year, or whether you get a challenge match where you’ll need to complete a certain number of stays within 3 months to extend the status)
