In a recent post I shared working links for the 50,000 mile offers on the Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select MasterCard & CitiBusiness / AAdvantage Platinum Select Card’s. I also let you know that it’s possible to request Citi match you to a 60,000 mile offer on the personal card and many readers were able to get matched on that card.
What I didn’t know, is that it’s also possible to get matched on the business card. Reader juanbeny was the first to alert me to this fact and then this was backed up by other readers on twitter (Thanks @subarge & Roar_Singh). Basically what you need to do is this:
- Call or send a secured message (I find SM to be easier)
- State that you saw an offer for 60,000 miles and were hoping to be matched
- Wait for a response
I personally wouldn’t recommend applying for the business card or personal card with the expectation to be matched to the 60,000 mile offer, instead treating it as a nice little bonus if you do get it. Of course if you’ve already applied for either card, it’s definitely worth a message or two.
