As first reported by VFTW Chase will open a Sapphire Lounge in Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). The lounge will be 16,000 square feet and be located next to the Delta lounge complex. As part of the deal Chase would sign a 15 year lease and invest $70 million for the initial build out and a midterm refurb. They would pay $500 per square foot per year with a 10% rent step in year 6 and 11 for a total of $135.6m in rent over the 15 year lease term.
I don’t think this lounge will open anytime soon as United needs to complete it’s new lounge and vacate the current one, then The Club needs to move into the old United lounge and vacate it’s current location before Chase can start work. Chase recently updated the access and layover rules for Sapphire lounges.
