[YMMV] Uber Plus Passes Available Again

Uber has offered plus passes for some time, the problem is that not everybody can buy them. It seems that unlimited ride passes are also available this time. These passes are available again, here are some ways to possibly purchase the passes:

  • Check your app. Between payment and trips you might see the option for a rider pass.
  • Check your e-mails. Subject line should be ‘ Don’t miss unlimited rides for <price varies on region’
  • Try a link. You can try these links:

You can’t use your American Express Uber credits to buy the pass. You can use the credits to pay for your discounted rides. I’m also not sure how the Ibotta $1 per ride rebate works in relation to plus passes either. Goodluck, you’ll need it.

Is it just me or has Uber decreased the amount that will be offset by flat fare (rider pass). If I remember correctly, it used to be $20 for UberPool and $25 for UberX; but now Pool is capped at $15 and X is capped at $20 (each reduced by $5).

Looks like Uber is continuing to decrease the benefits of this program to find their “sweet” spot.

First time commenting. It was very Random actually. I’ve gotten the pass for Mar and Apr and barely missed the opportunity to buy the May one.

Unlike previous 3 mentioned months, this time they did not send an email notification. At approximately 7:15 P (Los Angeles PST) 06/05/17, i initiated a ride and was offered to purchased a ride pass within seconds. I got a feeling this is indeed a targeted offer because my friends who have owned ride passes did not get the offer by email or within the app.

This is so aggravating. Not sure what criteria Uber is using to determine who is qualified for these flat passes. I was able to purchase them ONCE back in February for DC. They saved me so much $$. I’ve been checking dutifully since then, every month, and haven’t been able to purchase. Nada.

Hmm I got 40% off every ride for both uberPool and uberX. $10 for 20 and $20 for unlimited. I prefer the flat fares I got previously : (

I received this NYC offer during my first Rider Pass previously in May…. My second offer (which I purchased today) is $5 off every ride for both uberPool and uberX. $10 for 20 and $20 for unlimited. Seems watered down compared to my offer last month. Noteworthy DP that last month i selected the “20 ride” option versus the “unlimited” knowing i wasn’t ubering too much.

Did you actually succeed in getting one? I’ve done this before but haven’t succeeded a second time. I tried closer to 11am yesterday though.

Boston is $3.99 pool/$6.99 X — something new this month is “$10 activation for 20 rides or $20 activation for unlimited rides” in 28 day period. I don’t ever remember seeing unlimited as an option before.
