Far as I know, portals don’t work on gift card purchases from Staples.com.

Bought 3 cards on Amex with Get 25 with 100 purchase on staples.com and 270 was charged to Amex card. If the 25 posts, total cost should be 245
Also have 3 Amex cards separately with the offer Get 15 max with 100 lowes.com which should be good for in-store purchases of lowes gift cards (plan to buy separately 3 more 100 cards in person)

GC are back in stock! Just got two on my Amex, and one on my Chase card.
On 10/9 The E Gift cards dont count towards the $75 / $20 off coupon, and the $100 E Gift cards are ‘out of stock.’
Agree it shouldn’t work per the terms, but for some reason it did for me and I didn’t do anything special other than click the button to apply the coupon on the popup that showed when I launched the site.
As expected swagbucks showed purchase as “not eligible” for sb.

Was your eGC actually delivered? Staples is known to cancel GC orders that have $ or % off coupon applied.

You sure? What coupon code did you use. I used the one that popped up and it said I had $0 of eligible items in my cart.
Yes, both received a few hours later. I used the code that popped up when I went to the site and it said $0 at first but when I proceeded to check out it was applied. $160 charged to Amex card and almost instantly received the $25 email from AmEx.

RetailMeNot has worked for GC purchases at Staples occasionally. Not sure what kind of percentage back (if any) they’re doing at the moment.
I went through Swagbucks for 2% but noted the popup explicitly stated no points on gift cards as it was loading so not expecting that to pay out.
To state the obvious (because it wasn’t obvious to me until I thought about it), buying one $100 Lowes card for $90 will not trigger the Amex $25 back. I combined it with $25 Whole Foods egift card and got the confirmation.
Is it possible to buy Lowe’s GC from Staples and then use Lowe’s GC to buy VGC (or a merchant GC) from Lowe’s?
No. Lowes doesn’t allow gift cards to buy gift cards.
