[Expired] [Targeted] AmEx Offer: Staples, Spend $100+ & Receive $25 Statement Credit

Deal has expired, view more AmEx offers by clicking here.

Update 10/8/19: This had hit the redemption cap and wasn’t showing anymore, but it’s now showing again so save the offer if you haven’t already.

The Offer

No direct link, targeted offer

  • Get a one-time $25 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $100 + in one or more transactions in-store at Staples or online at Staples.com by 12/31/2019
  • There is also an offer for membership rewards instead

The Fine Print

  • Excludes Quill, Smilemaker, Staples Business Advantage, Staples 4 Government, Staples Toner Services, Staples Technology Solutions, Staples Promotional Products, Staples Print Solutions, Copy and Printing Services, Staples Contract and Commercial, Staples App Center, Staples Industrial, Staples Book Rental, Staples Simplexity, Staples Share Fund, Coastwide Labs, Catalog and Staples Fundraising.
  • Not valid for gift cards in bulk purchases.
  • Offer is non-transferable.
  • Limit of 1 statement credit per Card Member.

Our Verdict

It only says that gift cards in bulk purchases are excluded, so regular gift cards should work fine. Staples has a no fee Visa gift card offer this week (no longer available). They also have a variety of third party gift cards. Try to also save this on a card with the extra point at Staples offer.

In Delaware just had a very difficult experience with Staples.

Staples #1 , I purchased 5x $100 gift card where the cashier called over the manager.
I asked to check out separately, however the manager cite that I can not, he will only allow me to check them out in 1 or 2 transactions. I indicated that the sign says as long as it’s under 5 cards it is ok. He said he’s the manager and has the discretion to make the rules.

Staples #2, asked for ID and credit card citing that there is significant amount of fraud. However, some of my Amex AUTH users are under different name, so I could not max out the $25 off $100 Staples offer.

Please beware!!

I got the offer and actually need to purchase 4 x $25 amazon cards this weekend. Hoping it qualifies for the bonus.

For those conspiracy theorists convinced that it won’t work on a personal card that you find it on even though it says business cards in the fine print, I used it on two BCP cards today and got the emails immediately.

How did you add the offer to your 2nd BCP before it disappeared?

Authorized user. I also have it on one more that I did not use yet. Oddly, did not get it on the third AU’s account.
