[DEAD] $300 Drinkmaker from Keurig + $26 Profit with This Yazing Deal [FL, MO, CA, PA, NY, MA, IL, AZ, DC, MD, WA, NV, MN]

Update 12/19/19: Deal was pulled a few hours early, it’s already gone now. Yazing tells us: “The affiliate manager has assured us that they will payout on all transactions. Apparently they pulled the tracking pixel at some point late this afternoon, so if anyone has a transaction they made that didn’t track they should submit those via the Yazing dashboard 7 days after the purchase date and we will submit those to the brand for payment. The brand has been removed from Yazing altogether.”

Update 12/19/19: There’s now an update showing in Yazing that beginning tomorrow, 12/20, the cashback amount will go down from $250 to $175.

Update 12/19/19: Yazing has clarified with us that you can earn the $250 cashback on multiple purchases (they clarified this with Drinkworks), BUT you must purchase them in separate transactions. (I’d click through the portal a second time for the second order just to be safe.)

[Updated the list of states available below; there are numerous states where you can pre-order this.]

The Offer

Direct Link to offer

  • Yazing is offering $250 when you buy a drinkmaker machine from Drinkworks by Keurig. The machine costs $299, but there’s $100 promo code (Holiday100) which brings the cost down to $199.

The Drinkworks™ drinkmaker prepares cocktails, beer, and more at home using proprietary Drinkworks™ Pods. Each drink is made consistently every time using a Pod-specified mix of chilled water and carbonation. A variety of Drinkworks™ Pod Collections include classic and specialty cocktail offerings, leading beer brands like Beck’s, Bass, and Stella Artois, and signature mixers. Enjoying quality drinks at home, both old favorites and new discoveries, has never been easier. The Drinkworks Home Bar includes everything you need to get started. Two CO2 canisters, cleaning tablets and a water filter are included in your purchase (over a $30 value).

The Fine Print

  • Available in select markets: ships 12/16 in MA, 3/31 in WA, AZ and 9/30 in DC, MD, MN, NV.
  • Delivering to FL, MO, CA, PA, NY, MA, and IL. Pre-order now for AZ, DC, MD, WA, NV, and MN.

Our Verdict

Yazing charges a 10% fee, so you’ll only walk home with $225 for a $26 profit, not a $51 profit. You may also get hit with sales tax which can bring your profit down to near-zero. Some free spend, I suppose, plus a nice machine, hopefully, depending on how much you value it at.

The promo code is clearly marked as eligible in the portal. Payout of the $250 should be around 120 days after the purchase, according to information we’ve received from Yazing. (They payout after 90 days, and then it should take another 30 until it gets to the Yazing.)

It’s not clear how they can pay more cashback than the cost of the machine. Perhaps they just want to get the product out there for feedback and the like.

Readers commented below that they have the machine and love it. They explain that they want to make money on the pods/drinks, so they are willing to give the machine out cheap/free. Some note that these sell for around $250 on eBay, so there could be a profit play here as well.

Without researching the company, I’d consider this a lot of risk that they go under and not ship the product. Still, given credit card protections, I’d think it’s pretty secure to make the purchase as you’d get your $199 back in the event of non-delivery, presumably. However, I don’t see any protection against the company defaulting on the portal cashback, so there is a risk there. It’s possible the affiliate networks have some sort of guarantees, but I’m uninformed on this point. (Thought this was some startup, didn’t realize it’s part of Keurig. Shouldn’t be much risk, in that case.)

Does this work for the existing markets? “Available in select markets only. Delivering to FL, MO, CA and now PA!”

After tax, the total cost was 217 for me.

Yazing charges a 10% fee on cash back payouts, thus it is really $250*0.9-$199 or a $26 money maker. This fee is in their terms of use page.

Yazing or Motley Fool was such a nightmare the last time. Even though they eventually paid out, it was not worth the anguish.

Except this isn’t a $100 mouse that sells for $5 elsewhere.

Isn’t this made by Keurig? Hard to believe they’d have a cash flow issue, my only concern is the purchase tracking and the delayed payout.

Do they pay out 120 days from purchase or 120 days from ship date? If purchase that would give those in DC, MD, MN, NV some leverage as we could cancel the order if the cash back doesn’t credit.

Yes, its made by Keurig

Matt

Maybe it’s cheap because they figure they’ll get you on the drink packs? I’ve heard this advertised (the $100 off) locally on the radio in the Bay Area, CA quite a bit.

Brian C 🐕

Yes, the drink prices end up adding up, mostly because of shipping. Without shipping its about $4-$5 a drink

This machine seems less than worthless. Reminds me of the juicero. You have to buy overpriced pods with likely subpar ingredients. And then what does the thing even *do*? Adds water to a cocktail concentrate, maybe carbonation, that’s it. Even if you call that “convenience”, it’s still irrelevant and even a downside – if you are making cocktails isn’t the artistry and ritual kind of the point?

All the effort and risk, and all the waste produced along the way, seems not worth $26 to me. OTOH, looks like they might be able to sell for $150 or so on ebay…

The drinks have been amazing, I have had no quality issues with the pods, or the machine itself. Its easy to use, but yes, its expensive for the drinks vs pouring yourself from a bottle…

No taste issues? The Keurig cold was absolutely terrible. I still remember how bad it was.

Brian C 🐕

My wife and I got the variety pack and tried almost every drink. I cant think of one I hated. Mojito, vodka soda, Moscow mule, even the white Russian, were all really good.

No taste issues at all, I am gonna do this offer now for my parents for the holidays.

Thanks, Chuck! Order came out to $211.44 shipping to MA.
They are also offering a referral program. Still the $100 off and the person referring gets $50. Please remove if not allowed:

Pass for me, Yazing doesn’t look that reliable to make it worth $25ish.

Yazing has been very reliable for me in the past.

I have this and I must tell you its pretty awesome. My wife and I use it infrequently on the weekends and at parties its great.

Additionally, there was a survey option inside to get $40 free. Survey took 10 minutes, I did it and got the $40 cash. They then sent me 2 follow-up survey requests, i accepted both, and got $40 for both.

No idea if they are still doing that…but it has been great for me, though I did miss out on this deal here 🙂

They might have stopped using these or maybe are random. I didn’t get anything in mine.

Point of note that credit card protection will only apply if the amount remains unpaid on the card at the time of the claim. There was a case about this a year or so back and a few card issuers are now adding that to their protection terms.
