3rd Party Giftcards Triggering AmEx Offer At Home Depot & A List Of What’s Available

In case you didn’t already know, there is an AmEx sync offer where you get a $15 statement credit when you spend $75 or more at home depot. The fine print on the offer states:

All gift card purchases made online, gift cards sold by third parties and corporate gift cards are excluded

I took this to mean that 3rd party gift cards (such as ExxonMobil) would not trigger this offer. Fiby pointed out that maybe what they actually meant is that home depot gift cards sold by third parties would not trigger the bonus. Either way people are reporting that they have received the congratulations e-mail when purchasing third party gift cards at home depot. This doesn’t guarantee that you’ll get the $15 statement credit, but I’d be surprised if you don’t.

Giftcards Available

Your local home depot store may have some or none of these gift cards available, if you’re reselling for cash profit you should be able to find something that resells for at least 90% of face value.
