  • Entire $150 threshold must be met at one store and in one transaction

Our Verdict

We’ve mentioned this offer before, but couldn’t find the direct link. Thanks to reader SteveX, we now have the details and expiration of the deal.

If you are new to Shopathome, they are currently offering a $10 bonus for signing up. Just head over the site and a $10 offer should pop up for you. (Go incognito if you don’t see it.)

Well darn. I wish that I would have looked at my recent cashback today (which had the $5 posted and made me Google for this thread) before making a purchase at Best Buy. I did it through TopCashback and figured I would match to SAH. I didn’t realize that this promo was going on so I missed out on $5. I might still try to get TCB to match that. LOL.

Has anyone tried purchasing an amex gift card with the no purchase fee code to trigger the $150 requirement? Does the no purchase fee code invalidate cashback earnings on americanexpress.com?

Seems like ShopAtHome lists the no purchase fee code on their website, so I’m assuming purchasing <= $200 gift cards with the no purchase fee code will earn 0.5% cashback and trigger this promo?

Also, personalized gift cards only seem to cost $2 for shipping, and there is that $10 off $200 Amex Offer, so perhaps a potential $10 amex offer + $1 portal at 0.5% on $200 gift card + $5 with $150 spend – $2 shipping = $14 total profit before credit card rewards?

Anyone know the start date of this promotion? I had one at the end of October that didn’t get the $5 cash back, but I’m assuming that maybe the promo wasn’t active yet.

Anybody else having trouble with SAH tracking ebay purchases? I made a purchase on ebay that should have qualified for cashback + this $5 bonus, but SAH is showing almost 20 trackbacks within 2 minutes for this single click through and the transaction didn’t track. I put in a missing cash back claim, which hopefully will come through.

I had problems with the amount credited – I made a purchase on 11/28 when they were offering 3%, but was only credited 1%. Also, the purchase took a “long” time to post – I made both a TigerDirect and eBay purchase on 11/28. TigerDirect’s posted on 12/1, while eBay posted on 12/8/15. Hoping that they can take care of you as the terms and conditions state that orders below $1500 (for Ebay) cannot be researched.

Thanks. My ebay purchase was 11/27 so maybe it still has a chance to show up. Guess I didn’t notice about the limitation on ebay research. That’s kind of harsh.

I also made Tiger Direct purchase and felt a little misled about the CB%. The headline number was 9% I think, but the fine print showed that was just for “targeted Samsung products” and everything else got 3%. I couldn’t even figure out how to view the fine print at first, but after it tracked at 3%, I went back and figured it out – you have to click “Cash Back Guidelines” in the left hand column.

All this kind of turns me off on using this portal, unless they have a promotion with a much higher % than TCB, et al

And when SAH has a better offer (percentage-wise)…you can still use Topcashback and ask them to match it when it tracks. The main reason why I used them was to take advantage of $10 new account and $5 holiday offer – both which posted successfully.

Does “qualifying purchase” include gift cards? Thinking of stacking this with the $20 eAward with $100+ Sears GC purchase (i.e. buy $150 Sears GC, get $20 in eAwards, plus $5 and 11% back from Shop at Home, plus 10% back if use BoA debit card). All-in would get $170 Sears credit for $113.50, about 33% off. FYI the eAward is limited to one per transaction, and the $150 Shop at Home has to be done in a single transaction, so can’t stack $10 eAward for $50 Sears GC purchase; the other option is to do 2 transactions for a $100 and a $50 Sears GC, get an extra $10 eAward and forego the $5 Shop at Home bonus.

Great, went for it. Will update if/when I get the credit and cash back.

Was given 8% back and the $5 bonus. Should have taken screenshot of the 11%.
