What to Buy
There are a few new gift card deals available for brand-new gift cards from SVM, PPDG, and Cardency:
- $100 Exxon gift card for $95 (limit 5). This deal only started with an unusually low number available, just 1,500, so do this sooner rather than later if you are interested

- $60 Outback e-gift card for $50 from PPDG
- $60 Darden e-gift card for $50

- $50 Regal for $40
- $100 Jiffy Lube for $80
- $50 Jiffy Lube for $40
Also check out the discounted gift card offerings on eBay here. Good deals on Old Navy, Starbucks, Omaha Steaks and more. Note that most of these are second-hand gift cards from Cardpool and Cardcash.

Our Verdict
I haven’t gotten the email yet, but I found the offer on the rotating banner on the eBay home page and in my eBay Messages.
Good to see a 2-day Bucks offer, all the other recent ones were 6 or 8 hours only. This is the last Bucks offer before the quarterly reset on July 1, and there probably won’t be any/many Bucks offers in July.
Remember to go through a shopping portal. If you plan on spending $250, go through the United portal for the 1,000 mile bonus if you haven’t used that up already.
Chuck,
Are you sure we will get United miles if we purchase giftcard? Do you have past experience to share?
Thanks.
No personal experience. Check the fine print.
Is there any place left to buy Ebay electronic gift cards at a reasonable denomination. Even staples doesn’t seem to be selling them anymore.
gyft still has them, and should still be 5x on Ink+
Seems like the $25 ebay GC at GYFT is the last man standing. To make them a little less painful, you can buy a higher denomination GYFT GC and then use that to buy individual $25 ebay GCs. Curious if anybody has hit any limits on buying the $25 ebay gcs from GYFT?
Of course you can still try buying them directly from PPDG. But at least with my PayPal account, that is very likely to block my ability to buy other PPDG cards for at least 24 hours. Would be a great scoop if William or Charles can figure out what the new secret PPDG limits are!
PPDG
Don’t bother with the $100 Exxon/Mobil at 5% off. There are $50 ones at 8% off.
Not targeted 3 times in a row now 🙁
Has anyone figured out the algorithm that ebay uses to target folks for these bonuses? I’m an “original” ebay member and are never targeted. We signed up my wife about 2 years ago to take advantage of the single-use promo codes and she’s ALWAYS targeted (yeah — until ebay thinks she’s spent too much money, usually a few hundred bucks, and shuts her down for the day). A few months ago, we signed up our 18-year-old daughter to try to get more bonus opportunities but, so far, she’s NEVER been targeted! My daughter doesn’t have much activity in her account: last week, I tried to have her use that $15 off $75 promo code in order to generate activity — thinking that this might target her for active-new-customer promos — but I couldn’t get past the silly fraud prevention algorithms to actually enable her to buy anything.

I’m following Dustin’s instructions and tried in both Chrome and Firefox but can’t view my balance. Any other tips?
Try Internet Explorer. I had the same problem until I switched browsers and now I can see my Ebay bucks balance
see above
@John K: Go to My ebay and under Buy is the ebay Bucks link. You should see How ebay Bucks work at the top. You can scroll down the page and find Activity which gives the purchase and the amount of Bucks earned.
Thanks for the heads up. Question on ebay bucks – is there a way to see my ebay bucks earning activity? When I click ebay bucks, it just goes to my purchase history screen.
clear your browser cache/history, that’s the issue. You’re already clicking the right link.
Crappy gift card selection combined with a low bucks multiple makes for no appealing reselling opportunities.
