Cardcash Now Sells on eBay

Discounted gift card retailer Cardcash now sells on eBay, in addition to their own websites Cardcash.com and Abcgiftcards.com.

A current sampling of available cards includes $80 Omaha Steaks for $56, $25 Zappos for $21.25, and around 3% off Starbucks and McDonald’s. Their eBay inventory will change over time.

Cardpool also started selling gift cards on eBay a few months back under the name Giftcardoutlet. Both Cardcash and Giftcardoutlet are selling only even-denomination cards on eBay, and many of their cards are paper gift cards, not plastic.

In both cases, these are pre-owned cards, and they aren’t as safe as buying from the brand-new sellers: PPDG, Giftcardmall, SVM, and Cardency. These cards can be great deals especially when bonus Bucks offers come around, and these can be stacked with portal offerings as well.

We don’t know yet if buying gift cards from Cardcash on eBay will result in earning 5x rewards with the Chase INK card. Most likely it will not earn, just as purchases made directly on Cardcash’s sites do not earn 5x, even when paying with Paypal. I made a purchase today and paid with INK; I’ll update the post in a few days when the charge settles whether it earned 5x. [Update 6/29: It does NOT code at 5x when paying with Paypal.]

With Giftcardoutlet and Cardcash selling on eBay, it’s becoming more difficult to discern when the first-hand eBay sellers are running sales. It used to be easy to check the discounted gift card page on eBay, but now the page is full with these Cardpool and Cardcash pre-owned cards, making it harder to tell.

eBay is really scraping the bottom of the barrel here dealing with scummy Cardcash and its stolen gift card marketplace. Anyone want to venture a guess what percentage of those cards are fraudulent retail returns or cards bought with stolen CCs? Half the cards I buy from them now are drained before I can even use them.

Be careful dealing with CardCash / ABC Giftcards as it is not a reputable company. I briefly sold first hand gift cards to them and things were fine, but then they didn’t pay me on my last sale. I’ve called and emailed multiple times and they advised me my check went out. They finally agreed to reissue the check but months later I still haven’t received it and they no longer respond to my emails. I’m now in the process of figuring out how to file a small claims court case against them because I won’t let them get away with it regardless of the amount….be careful.

Yes it’s ridiculous. They don’t even check them before they sell, something they should be able to have a bot do

Are they allowing him to sell more then one gift card at a time??
Ebay has imposed limits and limitations on GCs.
If they allow him to go over that and not others then they are setting themselves up for a lawsuit.

“Him”? Is it one person running the show?

Unless you plan to use Cardcash merchandise same day – RUN AWAY from this company. Even then, expect a good percentage of your cards to be fraudulent. These guys are a New Jersey boiler room.

Bought in eBay w/ paypal in one transaction some PPDG and Cardpool GCs. Cardpool portion of my transaction didn’t yield bonus points but PPDG portion did as expected.

WOW. New low, even for CardCash. They are trying to mislead people about their gift cards on eBay.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevron-Pre-Owned-50-Gift-Card-Only-45-Free-Mail-Delivery-/331906847522?hash=item4d47309322:g:uBUAAOSwygJXhRUI
It says Pre-Owned Chevron card $50 for $45 but the price is $50.

Preowned Chevron $100 for $92 but they actual price is $97.

Does anyone have experience with a bad gift card from CardCash or Giftcardoutlet on eBay. They seem to be very pro-consumer and always side with the buyer, so couldn’t anyone just force a return on eBay by saying that item was defective if the cards are bad, even after 45 days…or maybe they made an agreement with eBay to be immune from buyer protection before they started selling…..
