Verizon launched a new loyalty program for their customers called Verizon Shine (requires enrollment). The program is for Verizon Wireless and Verizon FiOS customers.
- Weekly freebie drops each Monday, similar to what T-Mobile does on Tuesday with their T-Mobile Tuesday. This past Monday (we missed it, sorry) they offered a free $5 Starbucks gift card. Not sure it’ll be that good every week, but we’ll see. Also each Monday: enter competition to win prizes for free.
- Other days of the week will also have random freebies now and then.
- Get 3% back in Verizon Dollars when you pay your Verizon bill each month (minus taxes/fees). These dollars can not be used to pay future bill. They’ll work for purchasing new phones and accessories, or for purchases from partner brands like Hilton, Marriott, Starbucks, Sephora, and Roblox.
- Note: you can also pay your Verizon credit card bill with Verizon Dollars. For cardholders, that will make Verizon Dollars as good as cash.
- Those signed up for Verizon Shine will also have two fees waived:
- $40 activation fee paid when starting a new line of service.
- $40 upgrade fee charged when switching service to a new device.
We’ll try covering the Monday deals if they turn out useful. Let me know if I’m missing any of the new Verizon Shine details. Not sure if Verizon Shine works for prepaid Verizon customers.
Examples of freebies during the first month of Verizon Shine:
- Free coffee from Starbucks
- Free Dunkin’ treats
- Free special sandwich from Arby’s
- Exclusive FIFA World Cup 2026 merchandise
- Free hour at TopGolf
- Free gift cards to Ulta
- Free Amazon gift cards
- Last-chance tickets to FIFA World Cup 2026 matches dropping on June 22 for customers in host cities
