The Fine Print

  • Please allow 4-6 weeks for Elevate points to post to your account.
  • This introductory offer is only available to first-time customers of The Club from Virgin Wines and limited to one case per household.
  • Offer subject to availability.
  • In the unlikely event of a wine becoming unavailable, a substitute of similar style and of equal or greater value will be supplied. Every three months, we will reserve you a 12-bottle Club selection for $139.99 (plus $19.99 shipping and tax combined).
  • There is no commitment and you may cancel at any time. You will earn 140 Elevate points with each Club case you choose to take.
  • Once eligible, each year you will be offered two extra-special shipments: one in summer and one for the holiday season.
  • You will be notified in advance of these extra cases and their special-offer price.
  • Again, there is no obligation.
  • Licensed retailers only accept orders from adults at least 21 years old.
  • All orders will be processed and fulfilled by licensed entities in the industry and applicable taxes are paid. Licensed retailers have the right to refuse orders should an advertisement not comply with your state laws.
  • Delivery is available to AZ, CA (offer may vary), CO, CT, FL, ID, IL, IN, LA, MA, MI, MN, MO, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ (offer may vary), NM, NV, NY, OH, OR (not eligible for free gift), SC, TX, VA, WA, WI, WV, WY, TN and DC.
  • Void where prohibited by law.

Our Verdict

When I look at these deals I generally just think about them from a purchasing points/miles perspective and consider the wine a bonus for dealing with the offer and having to remember to cancel. In that case you’re paying 1.6¢ per Virgin America point or 1.23¢ per Alaska mile. Not a terrible deal if you purchase miles, but I have an abundance of airline miles so I’d never purchase them at that rate.

  1. PM says:

Stacking it with an AMEX offer – spend $150 and get $50 back.

  2. P says:

Nice!! Oh there we go. No shipping to Hawaii 😍

  3. Skor says:

There is a AmEx offer at Virgin Wines for $50 off $150 + 12% CB @ Splender.

If you can arrange 2 orders on 2 accounts and go through Splender, then it could be (6.5k + 6.5k) Alaska miles @ 0.7 cents each (and 30 bottles of wine).

  4. Jason says:

Is it easy to cancel the subscription?

  5. SM says:

    No shipping to GA 🙁

  6. tim says:

May want to read this first – may not be worth the hassle:

  7. Alex says:

Splender will pay out for this. I loaded and logged in to splender from safari and chrome. Then I clicked my personal link to this offer. I was just notified that splender paid me ~$9-$10. Nice added bonus 😉

    • Want to get the order/flow right to ensure cash back: You logged into Splender, clicked on the Splender link to and then what? Did you just paste the link to the Virgin America offer into the URL bar then, or is there a direct way to get to the offer from the page you’re directed to from Splender?

    • David L says:

Yes, can you elaborate on this please? I don’t have a personal link to this offer

  8. Alex says:

Also, virgin wines is a good company. I have ordered from them in the past, and they offer a generous return policy. So far Ive liked all their wines and havent returned. With the splender payout, youre paying under $5 per bottle… that’s darn good, esp w alaska miles. Use these up for a dinner party.

  9. Justin says:

So the Virgin Wines Amex offer says one or more transactions. If one of the transactions is my card and the other is my aithorized user on the same account, will this still trigger the Amex offer?

  10. Ryan says:

So do these have to be to different elevate accounts?

I ordered 2 to different name/shipping addresses, but under 1 elevate account.

    • Charles says:

Same question, is this a violation to the term that only to first-time customers of The Club from Virgin Wines? Can’t buy another case as a gift?

    • +1, will two bonuses post to one Elevate account? That seems like a crucial detail for getting the “13,000 miles for $80” that’s detailed in the post.

  11. Michael says:

When I click through Splender, I don’t automatically get the Virgin offer…and when I navigate to it after clicking though Splender, the price is $90, not $80. Is anyone else seeing that?

    • Are you still seeing this discrepancy? How are you navigating to the Virgin offer after getting directed to the site from Splender?

      • Michael says:

I am. When I click the link from Splender, I get an offer for $70 plus $20 shipping, without an option to enter a Virgin number.

If I click on the Virgin Wines homepage (icon at the upper left, it opens a new webpage, so doubtful it’s even recording the click through Splender), then navigate to the Virgin offers, I see a $90 price, not $80.

Maybe too late to take advantage of the AmEx Offer afterway, I’d hate for them to run temporary charges today, then run the full charge later when it ships.

  12. Michael says:

I couldn’t get the portal to work, but I just ordered two shipments, one to me at my work address using my Virgin number, and one to my wife at our home address using her Virgin number. Used the same AmEx card for both and immediately got a confirmation email for the $50 statement credit. So not too late for AmEx Offers…

    • Great to know, thanks! Planning to order one shipment to home and one shipment to wife’s work, and hoping to credit all the miles to one account (mine). Any idea if 10,000 points will post to one Elevate account?

      • Michael says:

I would say maybe not, but that’s 100% a guess.

        • Worth a shot, eh? Used my Elevate Number for both orders/shipments. I’ll report back on what happens. Figure the worst case is I have to call/email Virgin Wines to tell them to change the Elevate Number to my wife’s for her order/shipment.

Thanks again for the info, Michael!

        • Following up: My second order was cancelled, either because (a) the orders were placed in too close succession or (b) the orders had the exact same billing address. Unsure if the 10,000 Points would have posted to my Elevate account, if the orders had gone through successfully.

  13. ali says:

Just wanted to share: family of 6 (2 adults & 4 kids) each with their own Virgin Elevate and Alaska Airlines accounts. I placed 6 orders across 3 amex cards and they have all shipped as of today. i varied the shipping address slightly for each of the 6 orders. best case scenario: $330 for 90 dollars of wine and 39,000 Alaska miles.

  14. KZ says:

Mine shipped today but some reason they only gave me 2k points instead of 5k. Not sure what happened.

  15. kichiro says:

    I only received 2*2000 points.

  16. Danny says:

I also received only 2k points.

  17. KZ says:

For everyone receiving 2k points any thoughts? William have you ever experienced this or have any advice? Thx!

  18. Colin says:

Only 2k points for me as well… Maybe the remainder will post in a few days. I’m honestly surprised points posted already, although unfortunately not for the full amount.

  19. kai says:

I placed two separate orders on Monday in order to get the amex offer
It appears the miles have already posted? Is this what everyone else is getting? however I’m not getting any pending purchases via my splender account

  20. David says:

Like everyone else – got 2k or the 5k before the wine even arrived. I wonder if they are holding out on the additional 3k miles to stem quick cancellation of the service. Meaning, if you are waiting for the 3k miles, you will be hesitant to cancel.

  21. dalny says:

I just checked my elevate account and it looks like I received 2,000 bonus points, not 5,000. What’s the deal?

  22. Steve says:

They cancelled my 2nd order even though I had it sent to a different shipping address.

    • Same thing happened to me, and Virgin Wines was fairly unforgiving about it (also, they were confused about the orders being to different people at different addresses. Did you have any luck getting compensation and/or a resolution?

  23. Pete says:

Both of my wine orders shipped and are getting delivered today. I got a confirmation e-mail from Chase that my UR points are pending, but haven’t seen Virgin Elevate points post for either order yet.

  24. Michael says:

Canceled my second order as well, despite a different address. No email, but the charge is gone from my credit card and no second wine delivery.

  25. nurglefish says:

I contacted support about only getting 2k points, and this was the response:

    > We apologize for any confusion.

    > We can confirm that the points are being issued in two separate parts with one being 2,000 points and the other 3,000. You can expect to receive the remainder of your points within the next week. Please let us know if this does not occur and we will gladly investigate the matter.

So hopefully the other 3k points will post for everyone automatically

    • Thanks for the update! Saw my 2,000 points post, had a mini freakout, then came here and saw your comment. Relaxing and taking assurance that the other 3,000 points will arrive shortly.

  26. David says:

CHECK YOUR ACCOUNTS! My additional 3,000 miles just posted. 🙂

  27. JoJo says:

So far, not impressed with nay of the reds. :p

  28. Mr Emoji says:

My second batch of 3k pts just posted also

  29. David says:

Not impressed with any of the wines so far. Is it necessary to cancel this club so I dont get charged for future shipments?

  30. NinjaX says:

anyone here got pts for accepting their orders? meaning in excess of the 2k + 3k bonus?

  31. Chuck says:

Sure, we appreciate when people link our site.

  32. OregonWanderer says:

The details above say that Oregon does not receive a free gift. Is this the 3 addition wine bottles or the miles? Thanks anyone
