No, Bank of America Doesn’t Charge A $20 Fee To Expedite Under Review Applications

Yesterday reddit user AmeriKop45 posted that they applied for two credit cards, one was instantly approved and the other was under review. They called in to try and expedite that application under review and were told that their is now a $20 fee to do so (otherwise they could just wait the standard 7-10 period). This seemed like a strange fee to charge, so I contacted the Bank of America media department. They stated that the above information was inaccurate and that they have no such policy.

I’m not sure why or how this miscommunication came about, but it’s good to know that such a fee isn’t in place. Lots of readers alerted me to this, so I wanted to do a dedicated post to let them know it’s not the case.
