I think this may be a different bank then the one for the states listed. The Union Bank and Trust in VA was rebranded as Atlantic Union Bank.

Yeah, this is definitely a different bank. Their branches are in the Midwest.

William Charles It seems like this bank has been mis-identified and the states listed are not eligible for the bank offering the bonus. You may want to delete the three states and just list Nebraska pending additional research or data points. (Pls delete the link from my signature; it was auto-inserted and I didn’t see it before adding my comment. Sorry)

William Charles Chuck This bank “Union Bank and Trust” ubt.com is different from the similarly named Union Bank & Trust bankatunion.com in VA, MD, DC which was recently renamed to Atlantic Union Bank atlanticunionbank.com. This one is in NE, KS. The DPs about DDs, bank funding etc also point to the bank in VA, MD, DC. Can you please update?

Chatted with them and they confirmed no credit pull whatsoever, only Chex. I may just go into the Bonner Springs, KS branch and open it there though.

Spoke to bank on Friday and they said an ACH I made will qualify for bonus. Since 70 days has not happened yet I can’t say for sure. I will update in late Oct.

I opened a Journey Checking account with UBT on 9/26/19. The fineprints of the bonus say “TO RECEIVE THE $150 BONUS, you must have $2,500 in Direct Deposits posted within 60 calendar days of account opening (Direct Deposits are electronic ACH deposits and do not include deposits made through a branch, mobile device, ATM, transfer from another UBT account, and wire transfers)”. That matches what you were told. The ACH deposit doesn’t have to be from payroll, Social Security, etc.
