Alaska Airlines credit cards are some of the more popular cards in the points and miles community, one of the main factors is that these cards are churnable meaning you can get the bonus repeatedly. There are a number of different offers out there at the moment so I thought I’d do a quick round up post so you can see your options. This post does not contain any affiliate links, feel free to click on any of the offers to be taken directly to the offer page.
Personal
At the moment there are three different personal credit card offers, all three offers have an annual fee of $75 which is not waived. They also entitle you to a companion fare ($99 plus taxes and fees), they earn at a rate of 3x on Alaska Airlines purchases and 1x on all other purchases:
- 25,000 miles and $100 statement credit when you spend $1,000 within 90 days of account opening
- 30,000 miles upon approval, mentions that you get 5,000 of these miles for being a BoA customer but everybody should be able to get this offer
- 25,000 miles upon approval and an additional 15,000 miles when you make $10,000 in purchases within six months of account opening
I personally think the 30,000 mile offer is the strongest as it doesn’t require you to put any spending on the card. You’d be much better off putting spending on another card, you could earn up to 6% cash back on specific categories and up to 3% on all other purchases.
Which offer you choose will really be dependent on how much you value Alaska miles at.
Business
There is only one business offer currently available and it’s as follows:
Our Verdict
Alaska Airlines cards are extremely popular for those who have already signed up for the usual high value offers, as it’s possible to repeatedly get these bonuses. There has been much higher public sign up offers than the above, but it might be an attractive option for some of my readers to go for one of the current offers.
If you apply for these cards and don’t receive an instant approval, make sure you call the BoA reconsideration line. We’ve also added this information to our master list of credit card sign up bonuses.
