Alaska Airlines has announced that they will be increasing the fees checked for baggage, these changes are effective for tickets purchased or last exchanged on or after December 5, 2018.
The standard baggage fees are increasing as follows:
- First checked bag is going from $25 to $30 ($5 increase)
- Second checked bag is going from $25 to $40 ($15 increase)
- Third checked bag is going from $75 to $100 ($25 increase)
n late August JetBlue announced they would be raising the fees for checked baggage, since then United, Air Canada, American Airlines & Delta have all increased their fees as well. Viva la Southwest! Keep in mind the Bank of America cards come with first checked bag free for you and up to six companions, currently the personal card has a 40,000 mile bonus and the business version has a 32,500 mile bonus.
