[DEAD] Amazon: 50 Face Masks For $13.90 (100 For $15.85)

[Price lowered on 100, updated below.]

There’s a seller on Amazon selling face masks at a good price with relatively quick shipping.

Shipping times are showing as 7-10 days, hopefully these ship out on on schedule. I haven’t seen any this cheap that are shipping immediately; the inexpensive masks usually take a month+ to ship from overseas.

Keep in mind this is a brand new seller without any ratings. It’s possible these won’t ship, but nothing to lose by trying the purchase.

Just got an email from Amazon on my order of these (bought at the $18.80 price):

We’re writing in relation to your Amazon.com order # XXXXXX. We wanted to let you know that the seller of your order # XXXX is no longer active on the Amazon.com marketplace.

If you are expecting an order and you don’t receive it within 3 days after the estimated delivery date, or if you have any other issue with your order, please be aware that the Amazon A-to-Z Guarantee protects you when you purchase items sold and fulfilled by a third party seller. Our guarantee covers both the timely delivery and the condition of your items. If either are unsatisfactory, you can report the problem to us and our team will determine if you are eligible for a refund. You can file an A-to-Z claim within 90 days after the estimated delivery date.

Mine says it’s been shipped and is in the system so who knows if I end up getting it.

I received that email tonight also. Is this a common thing?

Are they implying the shipping notices we received were fraudulent? It’s a joke they require us to wait over 3 months to get our money back.

Since no tracking # was included in the shipping notice how will we even know if it was shipped?

amazon completely pulled the listing and already issued me a refund for the fraud. the vendor was using fake tracking numbers (reused tracking from other shipments). (you can put the foreign tracking# into usps) my tracking# shows my order is in transit from a week before i even ordered it! other people are reporting tracking numbers showing delivered but to addresses not associated with them and not in the same state etc. It was just a scam to get amazon to release funds being held from these orders by using the fake/reused tracking numbers etc.

avi Did you request the refund? My orders are still active despite getting that email. My tracking numbers seem legit though I don’t expect them to be delivered. I figure I’ll give it until the 3 days after expected delivery and request a refund.

Celia, I chatted with amazon and they created an “a-to-z claim” which was approved instantly.

Did you tell them about the fake tracking #?

I was wrong. The Amazon email did have a tracking #. I just clicked on it and it shows that it shipped on the day I received the email (unlike for Avi).

Mine shows an estimated delivery between 5/13 and 5/18. Is that what yours shows?

Same. This is my 3rd order of masks that simply says shipped or shipping soon but got nothing. One shipped from China over a month ended up ‘Lost’ status. 2 others are not listed in amazon anymore and I still havent received any shipment.

Received a tracking # but the package was delivered to South Carolina instead of where I live.

Got notified that the masks are shipped from China with info tracked by USPS. Hope those are brand new ones, not recycling used ones (ever heard there are some cases in China) ….

(I had placed a separate order without expedited shipping and that order hasn’t shipped yet)

Things looking legit so far…

I got a shipping notice from Amazon as well coming from SHENZHEN, CHINA via First-Class Package International Service. I did a single order of 100 masks for $18.80 with free shipping, guess we’ll see what I receive in 7-15 days.

I also got a shipping notice, but that tracking number is fake (the package was shipped in March but I purchased in May). Many of the seller ratings on Amazon also suggested the same that the tracking information is fake.

I’m in the supply chain business for the face masks, so I’d like to share some experience about the price and risk. China starting ramp up their production in early March, and US start their importing about the same time. At the beginning, lots of masks were exported out, both good ones and bad ones. Most went through air transport, and some went through sea. So you will see a price reducing recently as the first patch of sea shipment began to arrive.
With that being said, I don’t recommend those for now. The reason is about regulation. In early April, China restricted their regulation on face mask due to complaints from other countries. Before that, there were many low quality face mask made by small manufactures flooding the market, but after that, you should not see any of these masks in US market. However, the recent delivered patch over the sea were sent out before the tight regulation, so their quality is questionable. Not saying they are bad, but it’s possible.

I’m responsible for securing PPE for my company and we were informed that China is requiring importers to formally attest that shipments of PPE don’t contain shoddy goods before they’re released from customs.

I will not be buying face masks from China. They shouldn’t get rewarded for buying up the stock of PPE from other countries to use for themselves and then exporting them now. I have my own reusable face masks I made from old T-shirts and an old sewing machine. Takes me around 15 minutes to make one mask. I’m not an expert at sewing by any means but once you practice 3 or 4 you become good at it.

What do you mean rewarded? We need them, they sell them. Yes, they make profit from them, but like all made in China products, US supply chain made more profit from it than the Chinese manufacturers.
And I don’t know how good these face masks are, but as long as they are made of non-woven with electrostatic treatment, it should be 10 times more effective than the cloth one.

@Ray ” China shouldn’t get rewarded for buying up the stock of PPE…”
What nonsense are you spewing? So when the US does it, it’s okay, but when China does it’s not? HAHAHAHA.

Go ahead with your old T-shirt masks. You may be self-sufficient, but other people may need proper masks reasonably priced. Whether you are going to buy Chinese products or not, it is really not the concern of others. couldn’t care less.

If anyone here ever worked for Doordash check your emails. They offer up to two packs of ten masks (so 20 total) for free. As in no shipping or any charges. I believe that you can place one order per week

You can test if the facial mask is good or not buy blowing the lighter while wearing the mask. Just heard about that tip couple days ago.

Just make sure you’re doing it wearing it the right way, colored side out, when you test it. 🙂
