There are lots of complaints in the reviews on the Hotels.com gift cards, but I’ve never had a problem. Tips:
– You can use them for all prepaid hotel reservations (whether nonrefundable or changeable) but not for bookings where payment is made directly at the hotel. The vast majority of the hotels on the site can be booked as prepaid, but there are some exceptions especially overseas.
– You can only apply one gift card per booking but can combine Hotels.com gift card balances on their site – https://www.hotels.com/hotel-deals/gcbalance/ and click “balance transfer.”
– If you cancel a booking, the portion paid by GC is issued as a new GC, usually within an hour or so.
– You do earn Hotels.com rewards the same as if you were paying by credit card.

Yes to tenth night free and coupon, usually you can’t stack coupon and tenth night free though.
This is the third or fourth deal on Hotels.com gift cards this week. How is Hotels.com as a service? Do people ever have problems with them or are they pretty top-notch?
I’ve just started looking for as many hotel discounts as I can get, so I haven’t really been paying attention before and I’m wondering if there’s any reason to be wary of buying lots of their gift cards.

Does using DoC’s affiliate link, actually get DoC a commission from gift card sales from ebay/Amazon? Nearly all traditional shopping portals don’t allow cashback on GCs, so I was just curious if you guys get paid out. I always make every effort to do so regardless, just curious.
