Our Verdict

I was going to upgrade my QC35’s to this, but based on the reviews I’ve seen I think I’ll just stick to the 35’s. I think this is the cheapest we’ve seen the 700’s and you can obviously make it cheaper with the American Express or Discover deals.

1. QC35 is more comfortable.
2. 700’s Touch control is one of the most awkward user interfaces I’ve ever used.

You could also price match with Dell to use the Biz Plat credit, though that negates portals.

I have a Bose QC 35 II and tried a 700 at Best Buy. I can see why people say QC 35 II is more comfortable. 700 was definitely less comfortable than QC 35 II for me.

I returned my Sony WH-1000XM3’s for these a month ago when Sony’s hit this price before. Pretty happy with the purchase, but really depends on your needs. Both are pretty similar in terms of usability and noise cancellation, but there are a few qualities that will give you VERY different experiences like call quality, app control, bluetooth connection, and bass levels (OOB vs EQ).

Really don’t expect much demand for these. Probably need to lower the price more if they expect people to buy them.

Bose quality has gone way bad ever since the quiet comfort series.

For real, the Bluetooth pairing switch on my QC35 broke and all they offered to do let me buy one at a “discount” of $50 under MSRP ($249). I bought the original pair for much cheaper than that. I already tried two different DIY fixes but it’s some other issue that’s not so obvious. They can still pair with NFC but only to Android phones. The quality sucks, the sound quality is pretty middling, and they’re awfully overrated. I’ll definitely Order Something Else the next time I buy headphones. I hear Sony is much better and has ANC on par with Bose.

Have you tried buying a new on off switch. I was able to buy a 3d printed one on eBay and it worked well

The Verizon deal you posted a couple of weeks back was the best I’ve seen ($224 + tax). Picked one up there to upgrade my QC15s. Solid upgrade IMO. I like them quite a bit, even compared to the Sony WH-1000XM3’s I picked over Black Friday. Still testing though. The pair I like less will go to the wife.
