Amazon announced today that their Amazon Business Card will be changing away from the American Express issuer. Going forward it’ll be issued by U.S. Bank. Existing American Express Amazon Business cardholders will have their card changed over to U.S. Bank starting August 14, 2026. The new card will run on the Mastercard network.

Card details will remain the same with the card earning 5% on Amazon purchases (3% for non-Prime). They are increasing the limit from $120k per year in 5% earnings to $150k per year. Otherwise everything should be similar to the existing setup.
It seems that the American Express Amazon Business card has already been removed online for new applications, and will resurface at some later date for applications for the new U.S. Bank Amazon Business card.
American Express sent out this email:
We’re reaching out to let you know that American Express’ U.S. Small Business co-brand Card relationship with Amazon is ending. Your Amazon Business or Amazon Business Prime Card will be replaced with an Amazon co-branded credit card issued by U.S. Bank. We expect that this will take place on August 14, 2026.
You’ll receive additional communications in the upcoming weeks and months regarding these changes, and more information will be provided in your next billing statement. In certain situations, your Card may not be replaced with a credit card issued by U.S. Bank. If that’s the case, we’ll contact you with additional details.
No action is required at this time.
Can I keep using my current Card?
Yes. However, starting August 14, 2026, you should begin using your new card issued by U.S. Bank. Additional details will be provided by U.S. Bank in the upcoming months.
What will happen to my current Card Membership benefits associated with my American Express Amazon Business Card Account?
You’ll continue to receive the same Card Membership benefits until August 2026. Additional details, including specific dates, will be provided in your next billing statement.
