Amazon Launches ‘Amazon Day’ Shipping – Choose The Day Items Are Shipped [Prime & Invite Only]

Amazon has launched ‘Amazon Day’, an invite only program for prime members that allows you to choose the day items you order will be delivered. Amazon is touting a few benefits for those using ‘Amazon Day’ shipping option:

  • Orders will arrive in as few boxes as possibles
  • Ability to select your shipping day means you can ensure items will arrive on the day most convenient for you (e.g you can make sure you’re home so expensive deliveries aren’t stolen)

Not all items will be eligible for this option, although Amazon has stated that most items that are available for two day shipping will be eligible. Some users that have been invited to the program are also reporting that add on items ordered through this shipping option don’t have the $25 minimum spend requirement.

Seems this is down, was working for me since they started the amazon day, and now it stopped working.
Wonder if it’s only me or everyone who had this working?

Or was it because I never used the Amazon day option on a regular order so they took it away from me?

I’m no longer given a one day, two day, etc option. I must pick a day of the week now. So if for some reason they can’t deliver it on Tuesday, then they can claim I only want it on a Tuesday and therefore must wait till next Tues. Heads are rolling.

Did you opt into that choose the day option, or was that change forced upon you?

I’m having the same issue. I didn’t get offered any one or two day shippimg options. Only the Amazon day which can be a week out

You probably buy add-on items totally below $25, in that case Amazon Day is the only available shipping option.

That seems like a decent enough trade-off for not having to find something that’s not an add-on item to tack onto the order.

My packages always becomes available for pick up at the PO on a Monday when their office hours are the same as my work hours and I can’t pick them up until the next Saturday, so it will ends up that I get the packages 4 weeks after ordering the items.

This isn’t going to work very well given the carriers are incompetent at times. It took 7 days to receive a 2 days shipping order.

Nice idea, may cut down on package thefts.

I seemed to only be offered 1-2 week delivery commitments with Prime at the moment, when it used to be 1-2days or same day. May have to do with the tornado that hit the Baltimore warehouse. Super frustrating that they can’t expedite stuff from some other distribution center. Currently waiting on some important medical equipment.

You have to call or chat and tell them you pay for 2 days shipping and that’s what you expect. They tried doing that with me and I called them everytime. I don’t have that problem anymore.

Exactly. Tell one of their bots you don’t want to get Scamazon’d into 1 week delivery when you pay $10/mo for 2-day. Might need to type in all caps to fully express your emotions
