Unfortunately, there are some pretty serious risks due to contamination. You can try to mitigate this by checking the FDA hand sanitizer list, which is continuously updated: https://www.fda.gov/handsanitizerlist (red link near the top) This list is thankfully relatively short (and searchable), compared to the number of brands that have popped up recently due to covid, but be vigilant.
