Amazon is offering the following Prime Day Early-Bird/Lead-Up Deal, Valid July 8th through July 14th:

• Amazon Prime customers can get an additional 20% in-app coupon off one product within Prime exclusive deals by using any of the AR (augmented reality) View, barcode scanner, or camera product search features available in Amazon’s mobile shopping app.

Amazon will select a group of Prime exclusive deals for this program every day. Discover which Prime exclusive deal products are included each day by using one of those camera app features while supplies last you can check back again and claim another coupon by using one of those camera app features in the following day. Each coupon can be applied once, to any product within the set you reveal, and will apply to the first purchase made from that revealed set of Prime exclusive deals you complete through the mobile shopping app.

The Fine Print

• Offer begins at 6:00 a.m. (PT) between July 08 and July 14, 2019, and expires at 11:59 a.m. (PT) on each day.
• Offer only applies to customers who have installed the Amazon mobile shopping app, have enabled camera permissions, and use one of the following Amazon mobile shopping app camera features: AR (augmented reality) View, barcode scanner, camera product search.
• To qualify by using AR View, tap the camera icon and select AR View, then select a product and location for placement to complete AR product display.
• To qualify by using barcode scanner, tap the camera icon and select barcode scanner, then place a bar code corresponding to a product available on amazon.com within the camera scan area to complete matched product display.
• To qualify by using camera product search, tap the camera icon and select product search, then place a product corresponding to a product available on Amazon.com within the camera scan area to complete matched product display.
• When you complete qualification for a camera feature described above, you will receive a bottom screen notification from Amazon in your Amazon mobile shopping app confirming qualification. Tap the notification to arrive at the screen revealing the products that your coupon can apply to. Press the Get Coupon button to automatically apply the 20% coupon to your first in-app purchase from the current featured deals.
• Coupon only applies to the Prime exclusive deals revealed after completing qualification.
• Coupon only applies to your first purchase through the mobile shopping app from among the Prime day deals revealed.
• Offer good while supplies last for each Prime exclusive deal your coupon could apply to.
• Offer limited to one per customer and account per day.
• Shipping charges and taxes may apply to discounted and free promotional items.
• Taxes, shipping and handling, and gift wrap charges do not apply when determining minimum purchase amount.
• If any of the products or content related to this offer are returned, your refund will equal the amount you paid for the product or content, subject to applicable refund policies.
• Amazon reserves the right to modify or cancel the offer at any time.
• If you violate any of these terms, the offer will be invalid.

Our Verdict

This offer will be valid during the week leading up to Prime Day when there’ll already be some Prime Exclusive deals. Hopefully the deals will be good, and this 20% off will make them great. And you can do this deal once per day. It might be possible to stack further with one of the other deals, like the 20% off deal with Amex.
