Our Verdict

Regular price on this is $99.99, though it often goes down to $69.99. This $49.99 price is lowest ever. Some other Echo bundles are discounted now as well. We expect Amazon to run numerous deals on their own devices over the course of this week and next due to Prime Day.

They are also offering Echo Dot Kids Edition, Blue + Fire 7 Kids Edition Tablet, Blue + Lion King Headphones for $129.97, down from regular $189.97.

Thanks for sharing. I have been waiting for a deal on the Echo. Anyone think they’ll be cheaper on Prime Day? I have the Whole Foods credit but I’ll use that for a kindle.

If you have an old Echo (1st version), you can trade it in for up to $25 AND get an additional 25% of the cost of this second version. All in, I upgraded my V1 to this for under $10 delivered same day.

Link? That sounds like a good deal. Do you have to rerun the old ones?

Found this link: I’m getting a trade-in value of $5 for a v1 Echo that “power[s] on and work perfectly“ without cracks, etc.

It’s $5 for echo Dot and $25 for echo regular. But the 25% off is only applied after amazon receives and inspects the trade in item, so I’m not sure how Kurt did this all in one day.

Nope. It is “up to $25”. It you do the value wizard, it will tell you $5 in the end for a “works perfectly” device.

Really, I know how to read the website. When I actually run the wizard, it is only offering $5 for a “regular” (it shows the picture!) Echo.
