Amazon Returns Class Action Lawsuit
- A Settlement has been reached to resolve a class action lawsuit against Amazon relating to allegations that certain of Amazon’s return policies and practices violate Washington consumer protection and other laws.

Our Verdict
Most of the money is going to “Subclass A” members who are clearly owed money; they’ll get automatic payments. A small portion of the lawsuit fund will go to “Subclass B” members whose claims are less airtight; these people can file a claim.
The online system requires a Notice ID and Confirmation Code in order to file a claim. I got one and logged in and it showed me a list of returns which are potentially eligible. I can’t quite make out if they owe me anything, and you’ll apparently have to substantiate any claim, so I’m going to skip this one. But if anyone had issues with Amazon returns in the past, you might be able to get a settlement payment.
