The Fine Print
- During the promotional period of 09/22/20 12:00 a.m. until 9/21/21 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time, earn a total of 5% Back per $1 spent on Zappos.com purchases when you use your Amazon Rewards Visa Signature credit card. That’s an extra 4% Back in addition to the 1% Back you already earn on Zappos.com purchases. The % Back earned for this promotion will post to your account as bonus points during the applicable monthly billing cycle and are generally available to be used at the beginning of the next billing cycle; bonus points earned on purchases made near the end of a billing cycle may take up to one additional billing cycle to become available. To qualify for this promotional offer, your account must be open and not in default at the time of fulfillment. This promotional offer is non-transferable. Our Verdict
I wouldn’t be surprised if this becomes a permanent feature at some point. They sent this out via email to cardholders; looks to be a generic landing page and should work for all cardholders. Seems this offer is automatic with no enrollment necessary.
Looks like this will only work on the Chase version of the card, not they Synchrony or Amex versions since the landing page states ‘Visa card’. Both Prime and non-Prime members are showing as eligible for this offer.
Interesting observation: you can’t even use amazon pay on websites owned by amazon.
Just a note, incase this was what you were implying, using Amazon Pay doesn’t net you 5% back. I was very disappointed by that discovery myself.
