 Chuck

Easy come, easy go.

Now the AIRILINE INCIDENTAL CREDIT TRACKER IS GONE from my Gold card. It still spells out the benefit, but it neither shows the tracker nor does it even show my selected airline any more. It only has a Learn More button, which lists the T&Cs.

I hadn’t checked it in a few weeks so I’m not sure when exactly it disappeared. But it was still there in mid-January.

Unlike the airline incidental credit tracker which often updates BEFORE the credit actually posts, this dining credit tracker doesn’t seem to update UNTIL the credit actually posts. (Yesterday afternoon the credit didn’t show under Recent Transactions and the tracker said no credit yet, this morning the credit shows under Recent Transactions and the tracker says I got the credit.)

It does tell you both your monthly progress and your yearly progress (“Total savings this year:”). That could be useful for someone who doesn’t use it every month.

I never noticed it before, but then I don’t look at the Benefits tab that often on this card.

It’s easy enough for me to see the dining credit under Recent Transactions, since I use it every month, and I check my Recent Transactions often enough that it hasn’t scrolled off by the time I check. That’s why I never went looking for it under the Benefits tabs until I saw this post.

What would be REAL news is if they started a tracker for the Hilton Aspire resort credit (which would also explain when it resets, since it’s not calendar year based, but card membership year based). That was tricky to track last summer when it temporarily worked for dining, since it was so many small purchases that had to add up to just cross $250 (if you didn’t want to keep putting dining on that card once you’d used up the resort credit).

If the Uber credit works like the Platinum card’s credit, the credit shows in the Uber app. There is no charge and reimbursement on Amex’s side.

Now, I would like to know when “early 2021” will occur for Amex and Uber to start the credit.

Is 60K bonus plus 10K referral from P2 as good as it gets for Gold? Saw the 20% up to $250 offer from Resy, but may prefer the P2 referral instead.

I got 60k + 30k referral bonus back in October.

As others have mentioned, this tracker has been in the benefits page since the Gold card refresh 2+ years ago. I thought maybe there was something new, like the tracker being on the main page, but no.

However, the tracker is really kind of pointless for a $10 benefit. With such a small amount, a simple yes or no checkbox would work the same.

Probably just used the same function / code.

Is the $10 dining credit per calendar month or statement month? Also, if I have authorized users, can we each get $10 credit each month, or just one per account?

Calendar month and one per account.

I’ve always seen the $120 but not the specific $10 tracking
