American Express To Make It Easier For Some Immigrants To Get Approved

American Express will make it easier for immigrants from Brazil, Nigeria, the Dominican Republic and Kenya to get approved for credit cards through it’s partnership with Nova credit and their Credit Passport offering.

The Credit Passport works by ‘translating’ foreign credit reports into a U.S. equivalent report and score. This system was already in place since 2019 for those coming from Australia, Canada, India, Mexico and the UK and this marks the first expansion. Nova plans to expand to more countries in 2022.

Why do Mexicans get dinged for a hard hit and not others? IS THAT FAIR?

Q: Does using the Credit Passport®, powered by Nova Credit, affect my credit history abroad?

A: Depending on the country you choose to leverage your credit history from, your foreign credit bureau report score may be impacted. Applying with the Credit Passport®, powered by Nova Credit, will result in a hard inquiry (Mexico) or soft inquiry (Australia, Canada, India and United Kingdom).

Data does not discriminate. These banks use data to see who typically defaults. I wish we would stop thinking everything done by everyone is to just discriminate people from something.

Why do you care about a single hard pull on your Mexican credit history, which is similarly a temporary hit like in the US, when you are emigrating?

The government is giving out so much free money to these banks that they cannot find enough people to loan it out to at 25% APR, and the tab for record 30+ year high inflation is picked up by the lower/middle classes. And all the Karens from Twitter showing up in the comments section projecting their own racism on others with comments like “Oh boy, this is where we get to see who makes racist comments.” and “Not optimistic about what is to become of this comment section…”, no need to project your own internal discord and insecurities on others. As somebody else pointed out, the demand for racism in the US far exceeds the supply, to the point rich non-white celebrities have to hire non-white immigrants to commit fake hate crimes against themselves (tune in the Jussie Smollett trial for more details). A large corporation promoting high-interest debt as soon as immigrants arrive into the country is not a race issue, if anything it is something that you anti-capitalism socialists should be opposing. But nope, instead leftists gladly sip the $10 cups of coffee from the billionaires as long as they hang up the rainbow flag or spew out some other woke nonsense every now and then to lure in the flies.

I don’t think the Amex coupon book would be well played by folks who are new to the country. I’ll soon publish a book to make their life easier. Dedicated to Amex RAT

I saw one burst of out a human’s stomach with Amex Plat in hand. Sadly, the Centurion was full so it had to go downstairs to a Sbarro.

In this comments section, as in America, the demand for muh rAcIsM greatly exceeds the supply.

That won’t stop them from saying the comments section (and nearly everything else) is racist

Yes, anytime a legal citizen is concerned about illegal citizens entering the country it must be racism right? Keep being part of the divide that this Marxist regime wants

How wonderful. Experiencing clawbacks and overpriced coupon books should be a rite of passage for every new American.
