Our Verdict
Getting $50 off $100 on groceries is an excellent opportunity. I find it difficult getting used to new services like this, and I probably wouldn’t bother for a single $50 savings (unless I was considering switching to them permanently), but if someone got this offer on a bunch of Amex cards it could amount to huge savings.
Either use up all your offers during the two-week trial period or pay for the monthly membership for however long it takes you to use them up. Â Membership fees should also count toward $100 threshold for Amex credit.
Also, look around for promo codes to save on your first order/orders. I see mention of a promo codes: SAVE25 to get $25 off your first order or $25FREENOW to get $15 off first order and $10 off second.

Used Promo code:”GRUBS” for: Save up to $25 off your first two orders PLUS free delivery and 2 week free trial! today for groceries via Meijer.$25 came off the top so we ordered $133 worth of food minus $25 was $108 total. Subtract $50 for the Amex offer and that was a good deal. Yes, items were slightly more expensive, but there was also a huge sale page.
Very good deal if ordering many of the BOGO offers from Publix.
Not a very good deal. I just created a new account for shipt. I was able to open it with 49 dollar yearly membership. There was no way to add a promocode for 25 dollars off during checkout. I ordered from Harristeeter. Very expensive. I ordered stuff worth 96 dollars. I was overcharged at least 35 dollars compared to going and shopping in store. I also gave a tip to the delivery guy.
I am pretty sure I wont use this service in the future. Seems I lost a lot of money due to this DEAL even after the 50 dollars back from AMEX.
I wish I could cancel and get my 49 dollars back somehow. is there a way to do that?
Neither of these codes work. Does anyone have any working $ off codes for new people?
Not in Philly :/
Dang i got this on all my cards last time and maxed it out. This time 0/17
I like the service, but won’t use long term as it’s a ripoff. Pay 15-20% more groceries, plus $100/yr membership, you can’t use coupons AND your expected to tip?! No thanks, I will just use Kroger Clicklist or something if I don’t want to go in store.
Curious what people would consider a decent tip on a $35 order?
To me it really depends on the items! It sound to me differently if I order just one easy item worth $35 or bunch of smaller $2-$3 that totals to $35
My offer shows expiration 3/3 and half off Shipt membership shows 1/8 expiration, not today…
This works better than imagined. Shipt pricing is pretty close to Meier pricing and sometimes the same. Free delivery with tip on $35 orders nice and have so many Amex offers, the $50 annual membership more like $25 and can just just multiple Amex offers until expire. I would actually use this after Amex offer since one year membership as convenience to shop for some things from home and $35 is easy to hit.
The family loved the frozen, wild shrimp we had, order some more at basically 50% off! The pricing was only 6-7% higher, and delivered. Beef was same price, even get sale price.
I was just wondering what area everyone is in?
I saw a lot of messages saying that if you choose the items that are on sale, you can get some pretty good deals or at least the same price as going in store. But all the on sale items I am interested in are still marked up 20~50% (except for broccoli 99 cents…) I’m in Chicago suburbs using it for Meijer. Many on sale items on Shipt are also on sale at Meijer the same time, so I consider Shipt pretty expensive. (can easily compare on Meijer.com)
If it weren’t the $49 membership offer, the AMEX $50 credit, and $25 credit toward first purchase, I would think this is 100% not worth it especially when I’m just 7 mins away from Meijer. I’ll share any tips when I find out a better way to shop on Shipt.
Actually, I just found some things marked up only 10~15%…
