[Expired] AmEx Offer: Sun Basket, Spend $50+ & Receive $15 Statement Credit

Deal has ended, view more Sun Basket deals by clicking here.

The Offer

Check your AmEx Offers for the following deal:

  • Get a $15 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to make a single purchase of $50 or more online at sunbasket.com by 6/29/2021. Limit of 3 statement credits (total of $45).

The Fine Print

  • Offer valid online only at sunbasket.com. Includes purchases via merchant app.
  • See merchant website for shipping policy. Some merchants may not ship to all areas.
  • Please note, that unless you notify Sunbasket that you want to pause, cancel, or that you do not want to auto renew, your subscription will automatically renew for another subscription period (subject to applicable law) of equal length (for example monthly, or annually). This means that Sunbasket will collect the then-applicable subscription fee and any taxes by charging a credit card Sunbasket has on record for you without notifying you, unless notification is required by applicable law.

Our Verdict

Could be a good way to try out the Sunbasket service. You might find similar deals for Sunbasket with Citi or Chase offers. These also stack well with the Swagbucks deal for new Sunbasket users to get $60 back in Swagbucks plus a discount on first order.

I’ve used Sunbasket on and off for the past few years. I really like the service — recipes are good and food is fresh and organic. I like it better than most of the other subscription box services. It’s also really easy to put the orders on pause, skip orders, or set it up a la carte like I am currently doing. Amex often comes out with these deals, which I always jump on. Stack this deal with a $40 referral code and the price point is great! Here is my referral for anyone interested: sunbasket.com/invite/Robert2329434

Everyday. $12 back for spending $65 (weird, right?). One time only. Expires 6/29.

Been using them since 2020 lockdown. Have had mostly positive experience. Make sure to put everything away as soon as it’s delivered, and cook everything within 5 days.

I tried Sunbasket last year for the first time, making the purchase via the AA portal. Even though it was properly acknowledged and tracked by the AA portal, it took months and many email follow-ups for miles to settle. Sunbasket originally paid the miles, then took them back a few days later, stating that the order did not qualify but did not explain why. I carefully read the terms & conditions, confirming there was absolutely no reason for it not to qualify. I challenged the retraction of miles with AA Shopping, providing the full T&C in writing and showing how I met every criterion. They contacted Sunbasket multiple times, and finally the miles posted after about 5 months. I then received countless spam emails from Sunbasket after unsubscribing. I won’t ever trust Sunbasket again to live up to their end of the agreement, regardless of food quality, quantity, or price.

And that’s the beauty of this deal, it doesn’t involve any of that. Just buy and pay with Amex.

Worst raw meat and veggies. Oh no, their receipts are even worse

Good to stack with Swagbucks for free food and money maker. The food comes as raw meat and veggies so you can always just ignore their recipies and use the raw groceries.

Whatever you do, don’t use paypal when checking out. Amex wouldn’t credit me for sunbasket since I did this.

Rewards for using paypal other times, punishes here, very cool card.

PS two/four meals made us ill

If you read the terms, it sometimes specifically excludes purchases made with a digital wallet.
Pro Tip – read the terms
