The Offer
Check your American Express business Membership Rewards-earning points cards for the following offer:
- Get 4 additional Membership Rewards points for each dollar spent on eligible purchases made using your enrolled Business Card online at Dell.com/Amexbiz or via phone at 877-780-9860 by 7/31/2020.
The Fine Print
- Offer valid online only at dell.com US website, through the merchant mobile app or via phone at 877-780-9860.
- Valid only for purchases made directly with the merchant. Transactions through third party payment processors are excluded.
- Excludes all e-gift card and gift card purchases, international transactions, international contact center, Global events, Dell Financial services, Dell Outlet for Home, Dell Outlet for Work, Dell PartnerDirect, Dell Premier, Dell Premier Connect, Dell Premier Select, and authorized retailers.
- Not valid on purchases shipped outside the US, Puerto Rico, USVI and Guam. See merchant website for shipping policy. Some merchants may not ship to all areas.
- Purchases may fall outside of the offer period in some cases due to a delay in merchants submitting transactions to us or if the purchase date differs from the date you made the transaction (for example, the purchase date for online orders may be the shipping date). If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the additional points. For example, your transaction will not qualify if it is not made directly with the merchant. In addition, in most cases, you may not receive the additional Membership Rewards points if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party.
Our Verdict
For the sake of clarity, there are 5 separate deals going on with Amex and Dell which can be stacked on the Platinum Business card:
- Amex Offer for 4x extra Membership Rewards on Amex Business cards. If you have a Platinum Business card, save it on that card.
- Amex Offer which is found on Amex business cards: 10% back at Dell, up to $1,500 in statement credits. Expires 8/31/20. If you have a Platinum Business card, save it on that card.
- Amex Offer for 1x extra Membership Rewards, valid through 12/31/20. This offer can be found on Amex personal or business Membership Rewards cards. If you have a Platinum Business card, save it on that card.
- Regular Platinum business benefit of $100 Dell credit, twice per year. One from Jan. – June and one from July – December.
- Extra $100 twice due to enhanced coronavirus benefits; one for May – June and one for July – December (total of $400 in Dell credits between the regular benefit and this enhanced benefit).
To max all this out, you’ll want to spend spend $200 between in May or June (or $100 if you already did the regular $100 credit), and spend another $200 in July. That way you’ll get all the deals.
Important note: last time around, they clawed back the 10% which was credited back. So if you’re spending exactly $200, you probably won’t gain from the 10% Amex deal. We suggested spending $222, that way you’ll get $22 back from the Amex Offer even after getting the full $200 credit. HOWEVER, we heard conflicting reports over whether this suggestion works or if they’ll still claw back the $22. You’ll certainly get the $200 and 10% of whatever amount spent above $200.
I’m also not sure if you get the bonus 4x and 1x MR points on purchases which get the statement credit. Again, the main benefit of stacking all these offers is if you end up making a larger purchase, above the $200 minimum.

there is 12000 MR points offer as well for spend on 599$ and above on the personal version
The +4 Amex Offers disappeared after adding them several days ago.
What have you bought on Dell around this price range? In the past I’ve gotten two backpacks, a spinner carryon luggage bag and a bunch of laptop sleeves. Any suggestions on anything else to branch out on? Not really interested in buying a laptop as I just got a macbook. Thanks!
+4 pts for Amex Gold Biz. Stack with Ebates/rakuten for +2-15 pts/% (currently showing 12/pts for me atm.) So all told I’ll be getting 4 pts (bonus) + 1 pts (bonus) + 10% off (bonus) + 4 pts (base Amex Gold) + 12 pts (Rakuten).
Does it all stack really? did you try?
Meh, still only displaying 1X MR instead of 4X for me.
Look again. I didn’t have it 5/1 but showed up 5/2
Is it possible to split a large item into 2 CC payments over time?
Not sure what you mean by over time but you can split payment over 2 cards on Dell’s website
Great analysis Chuck. Being able to stack 5 deals is pretty insane.
Can all these be stacked?
Discussed in the post 🙂
Dont u also get 4x at Dell on the Biz Gold if its one of ur top 2 spending categories?
Yes
So theoretically were looking at 9X MR plus 10% back? Just wanna make sure I’m not crazy lol
Yup. Plus a portal!
I have many of these offers on my Blue Business Plus, but do not have a Business Platinum. I added these on there.
