Our Verdict

This stacks with the $200 in Business Platinum credits. Amex won’t let you double-take on this as they’ve clawed back the double-take in the past, so be sure to spend $222 so that there’s $200 charge left and you can hopefully get the full $100 credit. Go through a shopping portal as well.

I ordered a laptop last Wednesday (4.21.2021), delivered Friday. 4.23.2021

10% posted yesterday, the $100 Biz credits posted overnight. Rakuten points posted last Thursday.

Data Point: Placed order for a new business server. I received a quote from a Dell rep via email. Within the PDF was a link to place the order Dell Technologies’s website. Within minutes of placing the order, received an email from Amex confirming that I redeemed the 10% off promotion. Very happy as this saved me hundreds of dollars. Also clicked thru link on American Airlines Eshopping portal which currently has a 4x bonus for Dell Technologies or 2x for Dell.com. Assuming the 4x bonus will apply. Bonus has been 6-10x in the past for Dell Technologies but don’t want to risk losing the 10% Amex deal. Very pleased.

If you’re asking about the biz plat credits, then yes, XBOX GCs work to trigger the credit

Thanks for the notification.

Added to Amex Business Platinum and will use with $200 Dell Credit.

Important to note: Dell does not charge the card until the order ships. Make sure the item is in stock and will ship before 12/31/20.

Last two orders through dell took over 1 month and at least 3 months (canceled before it ever shipped) respectively. So make sure what ever you order is in stock, because they don’t bill until it ships, which could be well after deal expires

Yep! Ordered a Fire10 to arrive in Aug, slight delay of two weeks at time of purchase. Last delay has a post-Thanksgiving ship date. Cancelled & bought elsewhere. They will happily sell things they don’t have in stock & have no clue when it will be in stock.

Even worse the chat customer support rep tried telling me I couldn’t cancel the order because they had already started assembling it. Even told me that calling in wouldn’t change anything because phone reps can’t cancel either at that point. Which was complete and utter BS, phone agent got it taken care of easily, but definitely learned a lesson about ordering from dell

It doesn’t even matter if its in stock – it may be wrong.
