  • Audible and Amazon reserve the right to modify or cancel the offer at any time. If you violate any of these terms, this offer will be invalid.

Our Verdict

You don’t actually need to be a new Planet fitness member to do this deal, it will work for anybody. You can’t be an existing Audible user and I believe if you’ve been a member within the last 12 months you’re also ineligible. Looks like as long as you’re not an existing user it will work. Keep in mind after the 90 day free trial you will be automatically charged $14.95 a month so remember to cancel before then. The $15 Amazon credit will expire within 90 days as well, so remember to use that as well. Basically a nice and easy free $15 to Amazon and a few months of Audible as well. We’ve seen a similar deal before but for $10 and a slightly different deal for $15.

I strongly recommend doing this deal, just remember to cancel.

I took part in the Exxon free trial a few months back and successfully applied again for this (meaning I was a member in the last 12 months). The order page showed the $15 and 2 book credits. Will report back if/when the email comes through

Me too, did the Exxon Speedpass App trial back in July 2018, and am still eligible for this one.

I just terminated an Audible free trial last week, and I was able to sign up for this for $0. However, my Audible account info indicates I’ll be charged after just 1 month free rather than 2, and no email yet about the $15 credit…

I canceled my 2 month (used a different free promo) old account today, signed up again within 5 minutes. Remember to get your monthly originals before canceling.

Got 1 credit immediately and the fine print said my card will be charged after 2 months. The account info says the next billing date is 30 days from today.

I didn’t grab the screenshot.

$15 credit applied to account on 1/18 – 4 days after signup.

I placed the order (Free) with only intention to get $15 gift card.
Hoping that they will honor it.

Last year I was able to get the promotion from Exxon Free Trail.

Thanks Amazon.

Offer showed up for me even though I did the Speedpass promo and cancelled after trial period. Hopefully the email with credit will come through!

I think it is working even if one was a member in the last 12 months. I’m confident I was a member in the last twelve months and I was able eligible for this offer.

Yep, I canceled about a month ago. Rather I did not renew my 1-year membership, and this offer worked for me. Thanks ! And I actually like to use audible), just not enough time to listen to all the books.

I mentioned on r/churning and though I will share here too

The psychology behind Audible’s pricing strategy
https://kenthendricks.com/audible-pricing/

> At first glance, [Audible subscription] looks like a pretty good deal: I can either pay $21.55 for the book or get a credit for $14.95 and use it to buy the same book.

> But is it really? Compare it to Google Play. The same audiobook sells for $14.95 a la carte. No subscription required.

The author goes in how these pricing models work – some of which can relate to churning too

> The psychology of cost perception

> When you view a cost as an investment, consumption feels free

My takeaway was – when I paid the $550 AF for AmEx Plat and then triple-dipped the Airline Credit, I had still paid $550 for the $600 travel credits. The SUB was the real incentive.

When I use the Travel credits, months or even a year later, the travel “seems” free but I have really paid for it so long back, which is why it seems free.

I have extrapolated from this thought process and my real world MS experience to not MS for MS’s sake but only to meet MSRs, when I usually get an outsized return (10-15%) on the MS.

Thanks DoC these free trials always seem to work even after Ive already done like 3 in the past. The $15 credit is nice too hopefully that comes in soon.

i had two credits and just used them and cancelled my membership and then clicked on the direct link and signed back up…and the terms say it will charge my card after 60 days…so looks like two months free even though i was clearly a member…we’ll see about the amazon gift card.

I’ve definitely had audible in the past 12 months, yet this offer still worked for me. Almost always, I’m ineligible for the amazon promos, but for some reason, this one did work.

HoKo

Had an audible account in the past. This one Worked for me. Thanks Doc
