Bank of America: $100/$75/$50 Back for Spending $30 at AT&T [Targeted] – Money Maker

The Offer

Some people are seeing an amazing deal Bank Amerideals on their credit/debit cards.

  • Get $75 cash back: Must make two separate transactions with AT&T on wireless products or services of at least $15.00 on the card associated with this offer by 2/18/2017

Last time this deal was around there was actually three versions of this offer:

  • Get $100 credit after making two $15 purchases
  • Get $75 credit after making two $15 purchases (shown above)
  • Get $50 credit after making two $15 purchases

The Fine Print

  • Valid in-store or online at at&t.com or over the phone
  • Must make two separate transactions of $15 or more on the card associated with this offer by 2/18/2017
  • The $50/$75/$100 cash back is earned within 30 days

Our Verdict

This is an awesome deal and it’s a money maker regardless of if you’re with AT&T or not. I’ll repeat what we said last time this deal was offered:

“Simply buy an accessory (charger, etc.) for $15 at an AT&T store or online at att.com (see this comment if you’re doing it online), repeat a second time, and get back $75. Net profit will be $45, plus some free accessories. Make sure to make the purchases at a corporate store, not an Authorized Retailer.

Someone mentions the idea of buying a $25 refill card from an AT&T store which would work for prepaid plans. Not sure if it’s possible to buy a gift card for a post-paid plan too.

A reader confirms that making $15 payments to your AT&T cellular bill or Uverse internet bill counts to trigger the credit.”

they are changing their tune on this ; I just got off the call because I havent received the credit. The expired tab now shows you must switch to AT&T…but it didnt say that before when the promo was live.

If ordering accessories on att.com don’t forget to go through a portal. TCB offering 10% right now.

I ended up ordering two of https://www.att.com/chargers/samsung-pma-7-wireless-charging-pad-v2.html#sku=sku7680366 in separate transactions (it seems to have a good resale value on eBay, I can probably almost break even before the BoA offer).

Confusing;

I have this offer but it is in expired status but the offer details say I need to make two purchases by 2/18.

What is the deal with the terms & conditions?

Does anyone know if this shows up as a statement credit? Mine finally went to Earned and said it would be paid by 12/31/16. I checked a few days ago and it shows Paid now, but I don’t see a credit on my statement anywhere as of yet.

Contacted BoA about it and the gist of what they told me was that even though the deal was now missing from my Online view, it was still there on their back end. She said AT&T pulled the deal pretty quickly (she gave high interest as a possible reason), but said that my transactions qualified and that I should just give it time to process and close.

Works for me.

As with so many of the deals DoC posts, it’s important to move quickly on them.

Mine showed up as Redeemed finally. It’ll take a little while longer to actually get the cash based on monthly settlement dates for payout.

So whenever this one shows up, do it quickly.

Perhaps a slightly more efficient purchase – haven’t seen it mentioned yet (though only searched in this post).

My local AT&T Store had $15 App Store (Apple) Gift Cards at the checkout desk. Appears to have triggered as my offer went into processing.

Good idea. Not sure I want to hike down to the nearest AT&T store to try. Wish the online accessories weren’t so over priced. Actually, I wish my buddy still had AT&T. Last time I had this deal, he let me pay his bill– AND he gave me sone cash back. Too bad he switched carriers. Guess I’ll just be buying some random cases or cables.

When I did a similar Starbucks deal with BoA, I got two emails – one saying processed and one saying one saying earned.

So, I’m waiting on the earned email re: the AT&T deal.

I got the first email from BoA telling me that my deal was processing, however strangely this morning the deal has disappeared from my list – it’s not in current, pending, redeemed, or expired lists.

Typically it takes about a week for it to go from processing to pending, and then you get the cash within 30 days depending your statement cycle I believe.

I made two separate transactions > $15 on AT&T’s website which AT&T processed separately and shipped on different days. The charges finally went thru on separate days as well, even though I placed the orders within minutes of each other.

Not sure what’s going on here but I have the email confirmation from BoA that I will use to argue my case if I don’t get the cash.

Same thing going on here. The deal has mysteriously vanished from my lists. Nowhere to be found.

Made two orders >$15 and both have posted. I received the shipments, but am holding onto them. I’ll return if they renig on their deal.

Let’s hope this gets fixed.

Looking at the comments from the last time this deal was around, it seemed it took about 2 weeks for it to post. I’m gonna hold out hope.

How soon after doing the 2 transactions does one get the bonus? I was at least expecting an email like you receive with Amex Offers once it is triggered but nothing in my case.
BTW I dont have ATT but used to pay my brother’s phone

Has anyone successfully completed the offer when buying one $30 accessory (in-store) and splitting the payment between 2 cards (or the same card twice)? Or do they have an unwritten rule that the transactions need to be a few minutes apart?

I tried it ($15 + $16 on the same card 4 days ago), and the transactions appear as separate activities, but so far I don’t see indication of the offer status changing (based on previous reports, I expect the offer to disappear from the website, or maybe show as pending). I did get an email saying “we’re processing your AT&T transaction”; but am I supposed to get 2 emails? Or does this 1 email indicate that I met all the requirements for the offer already?

I also got an email saying “we’re processing your DIRECTV transaction” (my account has an offer “Earn $100 cash back when you switch to DIRECTV”, separate from the AT&T offer), but my purchase wasn’t related to DIRECTV, so I don’t think the email indicates that I qualify for the offer. Or maybe I lucked out and any AT&T purchase will also trigger the DIRECTV offer.

To answer some of my questions:

The “processing” email doesn’t mean I met the requirements of the offer; I got another email 10 days later saying my AT&T purchase “did not earn cash back”.

I’m guessing that means that the split payment counted as just 1 transaction. I wonder if it would’ve worked if I paid with 2 different cards instead of the same one twice. And if making 2 separate purchases, I wonder how far apart they need to be; is just 1 minute enough?
