Bank of America: $100/$75/$50 Back for Spending $30 at AT&T [Targeted] – Money Maker

The Offer

Some people are seeing an amazing deal Bank Amerideals on their credit/debit cards.

  • Get $75 cash back: Must make two separate transactions with AT&T on wireless products or services of at least $15.00 on the card associated with this offer by 2/18/2017

Last time this deal was around there was actually three versions of this offer:

  • Get $100 credit after making two $15 purchases
  • Get $75 credit after making two $15 purchases (shown above)
  • Get $50 credit after making two $15 purchases

The Fine Print

  • Valid in-store or online at at&t.com or over the phone
  • Must make two separate transactions of $15 or more on the card associated with this offer by 2/18/2017
  • The $50/$75/$100 cash back is earned within 30 days

Our Verdict

This is an awesome deal and it’s a money maker regardless of if you’re with AT&T or not. I’ll repeat what we said last time this deal was offered:

“Simply buy an accessory (charger, etc.) for $15 at an AT&T store or online at att.com (see this comment if you’re doing it online), repeat a second time, and get back $75. Net profit will be $45, plus some free accessories. Make sure to make the purchases at a corporate store, not an Authorized Retailer.

Someone mentions the idea of buying a $25 refill card from an AT&T store which would work for prepaid plans. Not sure if it’s possible to buy a gift card for a post-paid plan too.

A reader confirms that making $15 payments to your AT&T cellular bill or Uverse internet bill counts to trigger the credit.”

Doc, I have the offer activated, I see the green check, but how do I know which card it’s attached to? I have 5 credit cards, so just want to make sure I use the right one. Last time I used a BOA offer it didn’t seem to be on just one card.

I was wondering the same…not the best set up by BOA

If you look at the preference tab, it shows below the eligible cards.

Basically any card will trigger the credit, as long as your transaction has no problem. BoA offers are shared by alll linked accounts. That’s both the good and bad: you don’t have to worry which card to use however there is always only one offer available.

Does this include linked business cards?

Not sure. I don’t have a BoA business card..

boa deal is totally separated from both your debit or credit card. Go to boa deal website and set how the reward would be paid. By default, it goes to your checking account by the end of the trigger month.

Log in to your account and click Special Offers and Deals -> Cashback Deals -> Preferences. There is a list of eligible cards near the bottom of the page.

Got it, thanks for the step by step!

Just to clarify, the offer doesn’t apply to EACH card. It’s ONE offer that can be activated by using any one of the listed cards.

Also thanks! I’ve never looked up a BofA deal before, so this really helps!

🙁 I got 10% off of Whole Foods- to a maximum of $6.

Same here.

Didn’t get this on mine nor my SO’s accounts this time. Might have something to do with having already received the $75 credit for completing the offer last time.

I got the offer and $75 cash back last time (April-May) and got the repeat $75 offer today.

The offer may require you to first switch to att and make two purchases. I did the purchases and was denied because i didn’t “just” switch to att.

This deal is shown in Bank of America Deals or AT &T? is that targeted one and only show in BOfA account?

For a DP on some questions in the post, Last fall I used an At&t gift card to pay my account and it worked just fine. (I was juggling around new lines and a new phone for the Discover apple pay deal.) However I don’t see why one would need to do this because personally I’ve always been able to pay more than my bill is owing and end up with a credit. Mine is a small business account, not sure if this effects it.

Love how the DoC community here always helps each other out in the comments! Thanks Will and team for creating a great community!

Bought online accessories. Received an email stating my identity could not be verified and to go in store. Store rep said only could do so if I were an At&t customer. Called and said accessories are tied to an At&t customer account and they couldn’t reverse the order cancellation.

Only do this if you are an At&t customer. Otw, a giant waste of time.

I don’t know about online orders, but I was able to buy an accessory in-store even though I’m not an AT&T customer.

I got the $100 two months ago but nothing this time 🙁

Has anyone successfully completed the offer when buying one $30 accessory (in-store) and splitting the payment between 2 cards (or the same card twice)? Or do they have an unwritten rule that the transactions need to be a few minutes apart?

I tried it ($15 + $16 on the same card 4 days ago), and the transactions appear as separate activities, but so far I don’t see indication of the offer status changing (based on previous reports, I expect the offer to disappear from the website, or maybe show as pending). I did get an email saying “we’re processing your AT&T transaction”; but am I supposed to get 2 emails? Or does this 1 email indicate that I met all the requirements for the offer already?

I also got an email saying “we’re processing your DIRECTV transaction” (my account has an offer “Earn $100 cash back when you switch to DIRECTV”, separate from the AT&T offer), but my purchase wasn’t related to DIRECTV, so I don’t think the email indicates that I qualify for the offer. Or maybe I lucked out and any AT&T purchase will also trigger the DIRECTV offer.

Steve
Steve

To answer some of my questions:

The “processing” email doesn’t mean I met the requirements of the offer; I got another email 10 days later saying my AT&T purchase “did not earn cash back”.

I’m guessing that means that the split payment counted as just 1 transaction. I wonder if it would’ve worked if I paid with 2 different cards instead of the same one twice. And if making 2 separate purchases, I wonder how far apart they need to be; is just 1 minute enough?

How soon after doing the 2 transactions does one get the bonus? I was at least expecting an email like you receive with Amex Offers once it is triggered but nothing in my case.
BTW I dont have ATT but used to pay my brother’s phone
