AS Visa Guide to Benefits I received today states the benefits apply until 9/30/22. Maybe 10/1 is the date for the changes in the card?

Plus BofA customer service really sucks. I gave up trying to reach someone on the phone and finally wrote a (snail mail) letter to them to close my previous BofA card. FWIW I have “Platinum Rewards” with BofA.

Will the new benefits apply to flights already booked?

Paradoxically, BofA does not have a presence in Alaska.

crazily enough, AS isn’t headquartered in Alaska either.

I hope they add travel insurance. I was about to cancel my card because they don’t, which was actually quite surprising to me because I assumed this is a “premium” credit card and travel insurance should be included.
I opened this card specifically due to personal travel needs between two cities. Using Alaska card will yield me $20 more value in points than CSR, but I would still prefer travel insurance.

One new Bank of America benefit will be a reduction in the time they take to process a payment down from 6 days to 5 days. The late fees and interest they charge after they don’t credit your payment will still be applied for the standard month though.

I have never seen a bank take this long for online payments before unless I go back to 2001. Even mailing a paper check used to result in a credit in about that time.

I have automatic bill pay with BofA for my BofA credit card. They took my autopay payment one day late and then charged me a late fee for it.

They did reverse it once I called, but there was a time many years ago when I wouldn’t have, thinking it was probably my fault somehow. I am sure they still make good money off of people that don’t call.
