You can get 50,500 miles by using the link in this post.

Direct link to offer

  • Sign up for the AAdvantage Aviator Red World Elite MasterCard and receive a signup bonus of 50,000 AAdvantage miles after you make your first purchase in the first 90 days and pay the $95 annual fee (50,000 points will post on the next statement after you pay the annual fee).

  • 25% inflight savings on food, beverages, and headsets on American Airlines-operated flights1
  • Earn 2x miles on all eligible American Airlines purchases
  • Earn 1x points on all other purchases

Our Verdict

Previous high on this card was 40,500 miles for using a flight attendants number, I wonder if a similar link/offer will become available (e.g for 50,500 total miles) if anybody knows then please share in the comments. You should also be able to upgrade this card to the Silver Aviator after 90 days and you don’t have to pay the difference in the annual fee. The Silver card has the following features:

  • Annual fee of $195
  • Earns at the following rates:
    • 3x miles on all American Airline/US Airways purchases
    • 2x miles on eligible hotels and car rentals
    • 1x miles on all other purchases
  • Elite qualifying miles: 5,000 for $20,000 in spend (10,000 for $40,000+ in spend)
  • Companion certificate good for up to two guests at $99 each when you spend $30,000 or more in purchases (taxes and fees apply)
  • 10% of redeemed miles will be redeposited into your account (limit of 10,000 miles per calendar year)
  • $100 statement credit when you purchase Global Entry
  • No foreign transaction fees
  • 25% discount on food, beverages and headsets on US Airways & American Airlines operated flights
  • Free checked bag for you and up to 8 traveling companions
  • Priority boarding (zone 2 on domestic US Airways operated flights and group 1 on domestic American Airline flights)
  • Access to U.S based customer service and Mastercard’s elite concierge service

This is probably the best offer on a card with no minimum spend (or that might go to the Avianca card with a 60,000 point bonus). Keep in mind that people have been having issues actually finding award saver space with American Airlines recently, making the miles significantly less valuable. Due to this we will not be adding this to our list of the best credit card offers.

Read through these things you should know about Barclaycard credit cards before asking any basic questions in the comments. For example it’s usually not possible to get matched to a higher sign up bonus, but you might have more success asking for a manager as front line representatives cannot complete these requests.

This how the delta miles were pushed before they became worthless.

How much more worthless can AA miles get? Only really useful on Asian partners and a few other select airlines.

I really like them for LAN. I recently did a pretty good redemption for them in economy one way and biz in the other.

I called and also SMed to request match, basically got same answer on both sides:

1. Within 30 days, they match.
2. They’ll create a case with case number and have some team to process the 10,000 difference.
3. It’s pretty much promised once they say this, it’s just waiting for it to be posted. Requirements still need to be met first, which is first purchase + annual fee payment.

I’ll report back once the difference posts.

I received this card as a replacement for the USairways card. I cancelled it a couple months ago. Am I still eligible to receive the bonus since I never received it before? Thanks.

The Offer still describes a 40k bonus.

This is twice that I’ve gotten credit cards with Barclays only to have the offer increased about 30-45 days later. They refused my request for match on the Arrival+ when it went from 40k-50k, and now I’m about 5 days outside the 30 day window on the Aviator Red. My timing with Barclays is comical at this point.

I have no Barclaycards currently but am well over 5/24. I wanted to combine hard pulls and get the Arrival and Aviator Red cards. I have seen data points that one will probably go pending. Thoughts?

Was approved back in November 2016. Still have the card open. Is it possible to get another one?

Hey under the Verdict subhead, you’ve got one bullet with a typo: $195 for annual fee. It’s correct higher in the post. Good info as always. I should have followed my instinct to cancel my Red card a few weeks back so I would feel comfortable reapplying this soon.

I have read somewhere that you should wait 6 months between Barclays card applications. I was approved for a Barclay Arrival Plus card a little over a month ago. Can anyone speak to my chances of getting approved for this card at this point? Anybody else getting approvals for multiple Barclay cards this quickly??

I think you forgot to change 40,000 to 50,000 above:
“Sign up for the AAdvantage Aviator Red World Elite MasterCard and receive a sign up bonus of 40,000 AAdvantage miles after you make your first purchase in the first 90 days…”

I was approved for 40K, card was approved on 05/29, I called in yesterday and was approved for 50K. I was told 40K will post once I make my first transaction and pay annual fee, 10K adjustment will follow after that.

This aint my first rodeo churning this thing, the points will post. Barclay’s is the last burning ember for CC churning.

How long did you keep your previous card open before closing it?

Is getting this card essentially buying 50k AA miles for $95?

Vic
Vic

Yes, which is a deal I’d take with eyes closed.

#DoC – correction needed in the Verdict: AF is $ 95, not $ 195.

Corridor.

Is this card different than the card that was converted from the us airways card? I still have that’d that get 10k miles each anniversary.
