Barclays has added a number of new features to its mobile app. The new features are as follows:
- SecurHold: Ability to temporarily lock lost or stolen credit cards – Temporarily locks lost or stolen cards
- Spend alerts: Receive real time alerts whenever a purchase is made
- Control merchant categories: Customizing spending across merchant types
- Spend limits: Ability to set a per-transaction limit
The major feature is the ability to lock lost or stolen cards, this isn’t new with majority of other issuers already adding this ability some time ago (Chase, Discover, Citi, American Express, Capital One & Bank of America). I also like the real time alert feature as well.
