Update: The expiry date of 6/29 has been removed and still showing the 40,000 point bonus. I’m unmarking this as expired and reposting. Thanks to reader Heartlanta

Link is still showing as active, but the 6/29 date is clearly marked so I’m marking this as expired. For a list of the best current credit card bonuses, click here.

Our Verdict

As far as I know the bonus on this card has always been 30,000 points after $1,000 in spend so this is a 10,000 point increase. That being said the sign up bonus on the personal card has gone as high as 60,000 points so I feel this bonus is still on the lower side. Barclays usually requests business documents as well, so that’s something to keep in mind.  The nice thing is that this won’t report to your personal credit report.  JetBlue award flights are tied to their cash price, more on that here.

We will be adding this to our list of the best credit card bonuses.. As always if you have questions regarding Barclays credit cards, read this post first.

My question is…is Barclays as strict about approvals on business cards as they are for personal cards? I do have a legitimate business with an EIN and have never applied for a business card with them. However, if I were to apply for a personal card with Barclays today I would surely be denied based on the criteria they used. Anyone have any knowledge on that?

I applied as a sole proprietor on the AA business Aviator and was only asked for identity verification. My wife applied for Aviator business card and was instantly approved.

They will only approve once every six months though, from what I read.

I haven’t applied for a Barclays card in about two years. But I heard they were strict beyond the once every 6 month rule if you have a lot of applications. Was just curious if that also applied to biz cards as well or if the process was different.

This bonus is still valid (now with no listed expiration date), just so you know.

Just approved for my 3rd card. Required no biz verification documents (though I have a valid business)

Has anyone applied for this card recently with an “active” credit report? I’m way past the 6/24 month people were talking about for the Arrival+ card, so don’t know if Barclays is being as strict with co-brands.

Are there any additional data points on whether JetBlue Business posts to your personal credit report? I’m at 4/24, but the extra points would be valuable to me in the short term.

Barclays Jet Blue Business card does not report to personal.
(They waived me the new annual fee and I checked my credit karma (TU and EQ) and Experian, they don’t have this account)
meanwhile I have 57 inquiries on Experian… Omg…

I just got this card a month ago at 30k. Will Barclays match to the 40,000 offer?

I got the personal JB Plus card and the offer increased a couple weeks after. They matched the new offer, but if I remember right it has to be within 30 days of account opening.

Any data on if they report business cards to credit bureaus? The link above to the “about barclaycard” says its inconclusive

Please link the “more on that here” about Barclay’s ticket pricing in the second to last paragraph. Thank you!

It’s probably also worth mentioning that if you hold the personal and business versions of the JetBlue Plus card, it seems you get a 20% rebate on points, pushing the value of each mile as high as 1.7-1.8cpp. These cards are very underappreciated in my opinion.

That turned out well for anything else that wasn’t working how the banks intended it to in our favor right?

Oh wait

It was true for me when I had both.
