The Offer
BBVA is sending out an email spend offer on their Amex Compass card:
- Make at least $20 in qualifying purchases at restaurants and move theaters and earn 3 extra rewards points for every $1 spent (up to 3,000 extra rewards points worth $30).
The Fine Print
- Valid February 16 – 19
- Bonus points will be applied to your account 10-12 weeks after the end of the promotion period
Our Verdict
We just had a similar offer that was for 5x extra instead of only 3x extra. I guess we are seeing these particular bonuses because this card no longer earns 5x on all purchases during NBA all star weekend or the NBA finals. It’s also clear that this 3x is in addition to the 1.5% rewards you earn on all purchases making this 4.5% on restaurants and movie theaters.
