Our Verdict

You can stack this with the $25 off $250+ American Express offer (yes you can use American Express cards with Visa check out). I assume gift cards will be excluded from the Visa check out deal. You’d end up getting $50 off $250, even $25 off $100 is a great deal as well. Visa checkout has been triggering these amex offers as well.

Does Best Buy need a promo code?

No code needed, I just did it. It shows up in your cart right before you confirm your order (after selecting, and logging into, visa checkout)

DoC & Fellow friends,

My frustration is at peek with AMEX offers now. This is the third time and in particular with Best Buy offer, that it disappears from my account (both Primary and AU) automatically after few days(or perhaps weeks). Going forward I am making rule to not trust AMEX and take screenshots as soon as offer is added but it’s frustrating to be in store and find out the offer is not in account anymore.. I don’t know if I still get the credit after make the purchase or not.. Any tricks, tips, suggestions?

Have you added the offer or just see that it was in your offers? When a hot one like Best Buy is out there, people put it on multiple cards, reaching the enrollment limit rather quickly. So if you haven’t added the offer on your card, even it if it was there, it will disappear. I’ve had it happen with a couple different offers, thinking I’ll add it if I was going to use it. It usually clearly states enrollment is limited.

This has happened to me as well but offer may still be in your card loaded. I had Verizon offer which disappeared When I was about to pay the bill but I chatted with CSR and confirmed that offer is still there and was able to redeem without issues and got the credit email immediately.

When you look at your Amex offers, no matter how many you save, you can only visually see the first 100 offers (in order of expiry date). However rest assured that those beyond the 100 mark are still there. I made a purchase for an Amex offer that expires in Jan, and that’s past the 100 mark because there are just so many expiring 12/31. Still got the confirmation email right away. Perhaps this is what is happening to you guys?

yea. i understand your frustration but you just have to read.

1) Are you even adding the offer? Dont wait to add the offer. Slots are limited dude. I am assuming this is not the case for you, but just wanted to ask because if you didnt add it ASAP, thats a mistake. You MUST add the offer to your CC.

2) 100 Amex offers is the viewable MAX on the website. Thats a stupid website limitation that needs to be fixed. Its retarded. When you click out of that view, you will see you have over 100. Then when you click on the tab, it will revert back to 100 because thats the limit. You didnt lose anything.

3) Offers that you have correctly added do not just disappear. Also, dont expect mobile or app to always work. You need to use the browser.

Where are the terms that say what’s excluded? How do we know gift cards don’t qualify?

So, I guess I am confused. If you want to stack Visa Checkout with Amex Offers, you have to wait unitl November 27? But, the Visa Checkout press release says the Staples offer starts November 24.

Sorry for being dense.

You say the promo doesn’t start until November 27 but what about: “Staples: $25 off $100+ from November 24 through November 27”?

There’s an Amex Offer for Newegg which could be interesting.
