Best Posts Last Week: Chase 60k/30k Offers, Discover Apple Pay Deal News, Free $15 & Cheap Profitable Giftcards

Last week Chase increased the sign up bonus to 60k points on the Ink Plus and 30k on the Ink Cash, this is usually a deal I’d jump for joy with but the annual fee isn’t waived on the Plus and it’s basically impossible to get approved for new Chase UR cards at the moment if you have more than five applications in the past two years for any credit cards. Chase even updated their terms & conditions even more to restrict churners. Citi is taking a different approach and improving all of their cards, they have added yet another transfer partner in Virgin America and are also offering a 25% transfer bonus to celebrate.

Some Best Buy stores now accept Apple Pay which is great for the Discover/Apple Pay deal. Unfortunately Discover has added fine print that says gift card purchases won’t count, but it’s too early to tell if this will be enforced or not.

Chase Sapphire Preferred cardholders can get $15 for free and everybody can get 200 free SPG points. $100 eBay giftcards are on sale for $95 as well.

I signed up for the Chase Ink Plus a few days ago and got the “We will notify you with a letter in 30 days.” What’s the current recommended procedure? Do I call or wait it out?

Just an FYI, here in TX I was able to use Apple Pay at Best Buy on Saturday. They had it available starting last Thursday. I was able to use a 10% off mover’s coupon on an Apple Watch and pay with Discover using Apple Pay.
